Hate and love: explain what each means to you personally, not in general, and how you've applied it to your life.

Talking about hate and love are strong words for everyone.

For me, hate is such a strong feeling that sometimes we want to put an end to what we hate or feel that way. Yes, I've often felt like throwing stones, breaking someone, or hitting someone because of feelings of hate, something that truly brings nothing good. Because then if I saw the person I supposedly hated, the moment would be disrupted, or if I was in a place I didn't like, there would still be a mess in the moment, and it's hard to believe the muscles in my face would tense up. That thought wouldn't leave me alone, with the questions: What if I had done this, or that?

Seeing it that way, I did experience it... during my teenage years, people I felt I didn't want to see would arrive in the most calm manner. Especially when they asked me what was wrong, I preferred to leave the place, or sometimes I couldn't leave for various reasons.

Hating someone or a situation doesn't bring any personal good either; everything stalls, it doesn't let us move forward.

Over time, I discovered that this wasn't doing me any good. I began to set my own rules in case disturbing situations arose. It was a learning process, but it took many situations to understand and apply personally. The one who was consumed was me, of course, in the long run, there were consequences. Love is a feeling. If there was hate at certain times, how do you explain that we can feel love? A learning experience that has given me great peace. Understanding that we are beings of peace and that love is within us, just like other feelings, was important.

The best part of all is how, step by step, I began to notice the beautiful and simple things, to understand that each being acts differently and that we are not all compatible with certain people.

Yes, I understood that the feeling of love heals. The muscles in my house no longer tense up, my body feels light, and when the shadow of that contrary feeling comes, I simply say to myself: Thank you for teaching me to see situations differently and how to approach them.

Here, we can touch on the topic of compassion. It really helps a lot.

Understanding and comprehending these feelings has been a long process, with excellent results.

Choosing light instead of shadows helps a lot when dealing with these feelings. I usually apply love in my self-care, in the way I do things, meals, jobs, interpersonal relationships, how I enjoy nature, what surrounds us. For me, this is part of applying love.

Within our inner world, we live with it; the difference is what we do with it.
