Both in real life and in movies, I've seen what forgetfulness can cause. Even I have experience what being very forgetful is, it's quite scary and not comfortable when it affects your relationship with people. My mum would always pray that God take her forgetfulness away and I say Amen to her prayers because I have become a victim.
And then in a movie, I've once seen a brain chipped human or rather someone who is made to record whatever he sees or thinks and never forgets it. The end of that ability was scarier than actually being forgetful and remembering some things sometimes. It had me wondering what would anyone want to remember everything for.

Well, this post is my response to the Hive learners prompt, to share what I think about having an automated memory as a human. I'd like to start by saying, it's a big NO for me to let people poke around my brain in order for me to remember not just what I want to be reminded of but everything that had happened from the start.
One thing I hate to feel is being bothered or burdened too much, I bet having such a brain help will multiply that feeling for me and I'll end up stressed, sick and maybe even dead. Might be exaggerated considering that the brain chip may be well developed but that's just what I think and I'll reject an offer to escape mild forgetfulness.
But if I will be honest, there are perks or pros to having a brain chipped but they are only what I've seen in the movies so yeah, it can't be trusted. I think humans just have limited idea of what a brain that remembers everything can be. Even God Almighty promised to forget our sins when we ask for forgiveness, *want to think about that?*

The perks or pros I can think of or I've seen for brain chipping are, you get to remember everything and you feel like a mini God but the con is that, it will not last long before you regret having your brain chipped. It is not in the human nature to remember everything so you'll definitely be different from others, that can be a pro or con.
Humans are made to be humans, making memories but losing some on the way to aging. It's why they have aids outside the brain like cameras, books, and other items that help them remember things that are worth remembering. I do not need a chip inside my brain to remember what's worth it, instead I'll need people around.
With a brain chip, humans will be less dependent on each other and act more robotic or too emotional than the usual. Without a brain chip, we would have people appreciating the few or more memories they remember, relying on people's reminders and living life with less burden from their past. It's a life made easy without the brain help or automatic memory aide.
