This is my participation in this [Weekend-Engagement: WEEK 257](https://hive.blog/hive-168869/@galenkp/weekend-engagement-topics-week-257), answering the question:
>If you had to give three physical health tips, and three behavioural tips, for a better life what would they be and why?
---
Throughout our lives, we all seek ways to feel better, both physically and emotionally. Sometimes, the smallest changes can make a big difference in our quality of life. Here, I share three tips for physical health and three behavioral suggestions that, from my personal experience, can help you live a fuller and happier life.

# Three Tips for Physical Health
---
## Stay Hydrated

---
I always try to carry a thermos of water with me wherever I go.
Drinking water is essential for staying active and healthy, yet it’s something we often overlook, thinking it’s not very important or simply not consuming enough for our bodies to function properly. Staying hydrated aids all the processes our body goes through throughout the day. I feel it’s necessary to always carry a water bottle with us or have access to water in our daily routine, as it’s easy to skip this vital habit amidst our busy lives.

## Incorporate Movement into Your Daily Routine

---
Sometimes I go for a walk when I don't have much to do. Sometimes I do it alone, and other times with someone.
Sedentary behavior (spending the day lying down or sitting in one place without doing anything) is one of the least healthy things there is, so we should avoid it. It’s not necessary to always be doing something or to spend every day exercising, but our bodies will always need some physical activity. It’s good to include walks, stretches, some exercise, or even allow yourself to dance in our routines simple things that keep us moving.
---
## Allow Yourself to Rest

---
Resting can also mean meditating for a while, simply getting away from all the responsibilities we have.
As I mentioned in the previous tip about maintaining physical activity in our daily lives, it’s also crucial to know how to balance this and allow ourselves to rest well. Overexerting ourselves doesn’t help because our bodies also need to recover strength and energy, which we can only achieve through rest. Just a few hours of sleep isn’t enough; we must always prioritize having time to sleep peacefully, sit and breathe, find a space to relax, and simply unwind from all the daily activities we have.

# Three Behavioral Tips
---
## Practice Empathy
I believe everyone should have a certain degree of empathy for others. Sometimes putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes can positively help us when relating to other people. Being open to listening and supporting others can make our social life more enjoyable, and I consider it essential since humans are, by nature, social beings.
---
## Cultivate Positive Relationships

---
Over the years, it has been very rewarding for me to build good friendships with my college classmates.
Surround yourself with people who inspire and support you. A network of friends and family that promotes positivity can significantly influence your happiness and well-being. Don’t hesitate to dedicate time to relationships that truly matter; a pleasant conversation or enjoying an activity together can work wonders for your mood.
---
## Disconnect from Technology

---
In my case, I disconnect from technology by spending time in a park in my city. I also like to go alone, just to clear my mind.
In a world where almost everything has been reduced to the use of cell phones, computers, and other electronic devices, it’s also necessary to set these aside from time to time. Allowing yourself to talk face-to-face with others, read, take a walk, admire nature, or do any activity that doesn’t involve technology can save us many health problems, prevent loss of real connections, and avoid becoming addicted to it. Technology is beneficial when it serves as a tool, but not when it turns into an obsession.
