It was a great weekend for me.
I reeling a little because I didn't get to "rest" and I go back to work tomorrow. But... you know, weekends aren't just for REST. They're for enjoyment too.
If my week is so harrowing that I need two days to recover just so I can do it again the following week, then its too much and we need to cut down.
So...
I'm gonna cut down on some things next week. Just because I spent so my time enjoying and so little time resting.
Dinner: I love that my children and I have sit down dinners filled with meaningful conversations. Next week, we're gonna eat quesadillas, and ready cooked meals. Dishes will be assigned to a kid.
Overtime: I often work extra hours. Because I'm a mom first, at work I often have to leave early for this or that or sometimes have a long lunch and even other times bring a kid to work. For those reasons every time I can, I work late. Its not really overtime but it guarantees that my check is never short. Not next week, I'm leaving at 5pm every single day.
overtime makes me tired and overworked
Car wash/get gas: Na ah, I took care of that just a little ago, next week my car is ready steady.
Decision Fatigue: Next week for lunch I am not ordering any take-out. After this post, I am ordering for delivery for Monday Morning, and enough for the week. My co-workers order out all the time, and since I don't always have a lunch plan, I often end up going along with something they're getting. Just going with the flow type. It takes a lot of thinking too: "what are we gonna eat?" Not next week. i'm deciding NOW that it ain't gonna happen.
And while we're at it, let's just decide today that all next week, I'm drinking coffee either at home or in my office. No fancy nothing necessary.
Ahhhh, I can already feel all the time I have available next week, and it looks like its going to be nice to my bank account too.
Thank you for reading, have a blessed sunday night and a happy week.
