I've been browsing "I Will Teach You To Be Rich" by Seth Rami. This book doesn't teach anything particularly new, and it even boasts on how boring its strategies are, but it sparked a something in me.

"What makes you feel rich?"

This is one of the questions it asks and this is where I got stuck. I find sometimes that I spend money "so I don't feel poor." and this attitude is terrible. Instead of spending money on something you love that makes you feel amazing, you spend your money on mediocre stuff that has no long lasting value.

Once I started really seeing what I thought made me feel rich, spending money on anything else feels dumb.

Being able to give my kids money for camp and prom and graduations and dresses makes me feel rich. Over filling the house with groceries makes me feel not poor. Paying off a small credit card makes me feel rich, going for fancy coffees and lunch is more of a knee jerk reaction to the 40+ hour work week and its commute.

Hoopla has become my favorite.

Hoopla is an app ran by my local library which lets you download digital books, including audio.

Listening to free audio books reminds me that I live in a rich place... I wonder how long its gonna take the kids to stop crying cause they don't have netfilx. It's ok, they just switch right over to Disney+

I'm looking forward to next paycheck

The disruption on how I spend my money has been very fun for me.

What makes you feel rich?
