But this project wasn’t just about sampling bird sounds—it was about uncovering something deeper. As a lifelong lover of birds, I’ve always been fascinated by the way they communicate, their musicality, and their influence on human culture. In some places, like my home in southern Italy, owning a singing bird is almost a tradition. Some faiths even interpret the song of parakeets as a divine voice, elevating them to spiritual significance.

Studies have shown that listening to the whistles of multiple bird species can generate a psychological boost comparable to earning an unexpected 200 bucks. But here’s where things get even wilder—after spending hours observing my parrots, I realized their “whistling” isn’t just melody. It’s percussion. Their tongue clicks move so fast that to the human ear, it becomes a whistling tone. When slowed down, it reveals itself to be a perfectly structured drum beat—an organic rhythm pulsing through the air.

And these birds? They know all my songs. Every single one. Even when I play music through headphones, they feel the beat, syncing their sounds and singing along. Recording at home became a challenge—because my parakeets don’t just perform, they critique. If I hit a wrong note, they scream. Loudly. It’s impossible to ignore.

That’s why we created this track—to capture the magic that birds bring to our world, the unseen rhythms that shape their voices, and the perspective they have from above. Imagine what they see as they soar through the sky, looking down on us, watching the chaos unfold. Maybe, to them, we look small, scattered, caught up in things that don’t matter.

Un viaggio Lo-Fi nel suono delle cocorite: il ritmo della natura.

Oggi, volevamo creare qualcosa di completamente unico: una traccia costruita sulle voci delle cocorite e dei pappagalli di tutto il mondo, meticolosamente rimasterizzate e trasformate in una texture sonora eterea. Il risultato? Una canzone che fonde la creatività umana con il ritmo naturale e incontaminato.

Ma questo progetto non si è fermato solo al campionamento dei suoni degli uccelli—è stato un viaggio per scoprire qualcosa di più profondo. Da sempre innamorato degli uccelli, ho studiato il loro modo di comunicare, la loro musicalità e l’influenza che hanno sulla cultura umana. In molte zone, come nel sud Italia, possedere un uccello canterino è una tradizione quasi radicata. In alcune religioni, il canto delle cocorite viene interpretato come una voce divina, elevandole a un livello spirituale.

È dimostrato che ascoltare il canto di diverse specie di uccelli può generare un incremento psicologico paragonabile a vincere inaspettatamente 200 euro. Ma qui viene il bello—dopo aver osservato a lungo le mie cocorite, ho scoperto che il loro canto non è soltanto melodia. È percussione. I loro colpi di lingua sono così rapidi che per l’orecchio umano si trasformano in un fischio. Quando si rallenta la registrazione, si rivela invece un ritmo perfetto, una batteria naturale che pulsa nell’aria.

E loro? Conoscono tutte le mie canzoni. Ogni singola nota. Anche se ascolto la musica in cuffia, loro percepiscono il ritmo, sincronizzano i suoni e cantano insieme a me. Registrare in casa è diventato complicato—perché le mie cocorite non si limitano a partecipare, giudicano. Se sbaglio una nota, urlano. Forte. Impossibile ignorarle.

Ecco perché abbiamo creato questa traccia—per catturare la magia che gli uccelli portano nel nostro mondo, i ritmi nascosti che danno forma alle loro voci e la loro visione dall’alto. Immagina cosa vedono mentre volano sopra di noi, guardando il caos che si muove sotto le loro ali. Magari, per loro, sembriamo piccoli, dispersi, incastrati in cose che non contano davvero.

Perché diciamolo chiaramente: a volte la nostra fottuta, stupida arroganza ci acceca al punto da non riconoscere nemmeno un miracolo quando lo abbiamo davanti agli occhi.

Questa canzone non è solo suono—è un’esperienza. Una conversazione tra uomo e Madre Natura, tra arte e istinto.
