Communication with the project owner
Details
A conversation between me and the project owner started last year, when I offered myself to design a logo for his project named "NFLPool", we worked together until the owner was satisfied with a logo design. NFLPool is a betting platform designed for all those NFL fans who are willing to bet on their favorite football teams. Bets start in parallel with the season and winners are announced right after the matchs end. They have an official website and due to their open source relation, a GitHub repository as well.
Benefits / Improvements
The name states it pretty clear, it's a betting pool associated with the American Football sport, so my initial design was lead to illustrate an American Football ball splashing in a pool. However, and with reason, the owner though that an actual pool on the logo would confuse users, so the design was turned into something more straight to the point. A football ball with a few coins by its side was the final design the owner preferred for his platform. I'm convinced that the final logo transmits the actual purpose of the platform, which is betting on football matchs.
