A Hidden Gem: My Serene Escape to Dumanjug, Cebu

 What I saw and heard when I arrived on Dumanjug was nothing more than a friendly reception of the locals. The warm welcoming looks and the welcoming attitudes aroused my adventure. I have gone to the beach and walked over the sandy land to the dunes where I had a sudden feeling of peace. The other people were not so many at the beach and it was so quiet such that I could be able to completely enjoy the beauty of the nature around me.  I took position there under a palm tree and here I succeeded in enjoying the view alongside basking under the sun. I had a great book on my hands and heard the calming waves of the ocean, and I thought that I created my own little heaven.  Visits to the nearby beaches and secretive harbours are one of the best aspects of my travel. I made up my mind and rented a boat locally and went and cruised around and what Dumanjug had to offer. The scenic sight impressed me as we trailed the coastline with the sea voyage. The blue waters were catching sun rays and the cliffs formed an excellent backdrop which was rocky. At a lonely cove we halted, and I took a swim in the clear water, amidst gay-colored fish. This was an experience that I will forever feel good about because I went snorkeling in this untouched paradise.  I happened to stumble upon another famous beach area called Bitoon Beach, which has very breath-taking rocky structures and blue clear waters. It was hypnotic to see the blue sea contrasting with the unusual collection of the rock formations. I spent hours along the beach; I personally took photographs, even just relishing the view of the things around me. It was a reminder of how it was created by nature and how breathtaking it is.  It was already the evening of the day and it seems to have provided me with one of the most beautiful sunsets I ever take note of. It had become a kind of a painting in the sky which was oranges, pinks and purples which were shown on the surface of the water. I was seated on the beach, a very appreciative person as I was due to things that happened to me throughout the day. It was one of those time when it occurred to me that dedicating some time to appreciate beauty around us would be a good idea.  The other thing that I remembered about my trip was that I managed to face some of the locals. I even got a chance to visit a native celebration prepared by locals where I was able to relish authentic and quite delicious Cebuano food. Storytelling and laughing through community created the sensation that I belonged there, taught me to appreciate the culture and tradition of Dumanjug even more.  My visit to Dumanjug, Cebu was not a mere visit to a beach, it was visiting the most peaceful get-away that I ever had which allowed me to have a rejuvenated feel and experience nature. This was a special trip because of the raw beauty, friendly people and the lifetime experience. When I left Dumanjug, I did not only take away memories but I also felt and even wanted to go back to this quiet little piece of heaven in the middle of Cebu.
