It's been a while since my husband and I had our alone time. With me being a full-time stay-at-home mom and my husband being the breadwinner, it's hard to find time to have our couple date night.
My husband's friend has been inviting us for a double date or to join them to watch. With the struggle of having no babysitter, we opted to not join them. We do have my in-laws at home, but we can't let them take care of our Lo because her energy is up to the top! If you see her being more playful and running around more, that means she's already sleepy. My MIL's heart and lungs are still recovering from being hospitalized a couple of years ago, and my FIL is the one who's taking care of her.
My husband just celebrated her birthday last month, and we really wanted to watch the movie Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle (Demon Slayer). Both of us like anime, so it would be a lovely date for us.
We've been thinking for weeks about how and what we are going to do and where we are going to leave our LO so we can go for a movie date. We asked my in-laws if they can watch out for our Lo at a playhouse.
We decided to watch the movie at Robinson's Galleria Cebu. We saw that they have a 45% discount for movie tickets for walk-in purchases. We ended up not buying tickets online so we could secure our seats for the first screening time of the day. By the way, the movie is 2.35 hrs long, so they would be staying in the playhouse for 2 hrs. Luckily my husband's nieces are willing to join their lolo and lola.
Yes, we had our first movie date in years! Couple alone time, whew!
We somehow missed the first 10 minutes of the movie because we bought them snacks before we went to the cinema.
We enjoyed it, but for some reason my eyes still manage to drop. Yes, I did fall asleep and missed 20 more minutes of the movie. I am a sucker for cinema watching; that's why I don't like watching movies at the cinema.
Anyway, I won't tell you the deets of the movie. I won't spoil it for other people who are still planning to watch it. As feedback, even if you still haven't watched the anime, the movie might get you interested in watching the anime.
I have a friend who watched it with her daughter, because she's a fan. Now she secretly watches the full anime to catch up with the story.
When can we have a couple date again? lols :D
