These days, it's easy to find a spot. Whether it's a cafe, diner, place to chill, or place with good food and a nice view, you'll know what to do or what not to do. All we need to do is just open our social media and search for it.
We have an acquaintance that invited us to go to StarBuks here in Banawa, Cebu. Yes, you read it correctly. It's STARBUKS, not Starbucks, hahahaha! What a witty name, huh? Basically, it's just a retail store on top of a hill here in Cebu, where you can order 3-in-1 coffee.
It's also part of a resting spot for beginner hikers. A few meters away, you'll see another route, a more intense route and probably for experienced hikers, the Spartan Trail.
Preparation We actually didn't prepare physically, but a day before our hike we went to Decathlon to buy a hiking top and a bucket hat for our LO.
Hiking begins Having no babysitter, we brought our LO with us. What can we do? She likes nature too. We parked at the Concentrix parking lot and walked to the start of the trail. There are also 'tungkod' vendors that you can see at the start of the trail.
It took us more than an hour to reach the top since we have a toddler with us. People who were hiking that time with us were surprised to see a kid hiking there, while there were other adults who almost gave up. Through the trail, there were lots of narrow trails, which made it dangerous for kids.
Her curiosity hits and wants to take pictures with everything she finds intereresting!
had snacks first before we go down the hill. See her little stuffies that hiked with us. HAHAHAHA!
I just can't resist taking a picture of this tree.
It was a fun hike, and a core memory was unlocked for the fam!
We went there around March, and there was already news that the place became crowded, especially during weekends. I am not sure if the same situation applies up to this date.
