'I don't want to go to school' - dilemma of a mom

It was exams day for my preschooler yesterday.

It has been a couple of months already since my little girl started going to school. Being a stay-at-home mom with a schoolgirl is fulfilling and, at the same time, tiring. I feel for the moms or parents with more than one kid to take care of. From waking up early to sleeping late.

Anyway, we woke up a little later than the usual school day for SasaGorl. Their regular classes start at 7:30am; when it’s exams day, they start at 8am. We can also be a little later than 8am, as they conduct exams for nursery students by batches of 5 students.

Off to school!

My everyday dilemma: SasaGorl doesn’t want to go inside their classroom for some reason. Yes, it has been 2 months, and it’s my everyday challenge. I would chase her or force her to let go of me. When I ask her why she doesn’t want to go to school, she always says, ‘because it’s boring’ or ‘because I miss you.’ My heart is troubled and melted at the same time.

Anyway, she finished her exams after 30 mins. I waited outside as other parents do too. I let her play with her other friends and classmates, as they are also waiting for their brothers and sisters on the higher grade level.

Let’s go home!

These kids seem like they don’t like to go home. Whew! SasaGorl’s friend was also along our way, so I dropped them off at their house. Carpool fun, yeah! Our car playlist—guess what? Songs from Kpop Demon Hunters. Every day, yes.

After we dropped them off, we went to Ayala Center Cebu. Strolled for a little bit and looked for things that my husband needs for his work.

Lunchtime! Happy Meal, of course, to get a few Hello Kitty x Ninja Turtle toys. I also promised her that we will go to the mall after school, just a little motivation for her to go to school.

We decided to go to my husband's office since he still needs to work on something. SasaGorl also slept while we were on our way.

It's already evening, and we decided to visit the Cebu Business Park area. My SIL said that there are a few food carts there that we can try.

Sorry for the blurred pictures, lols!

There were only 4 food carts there. There's also a pet playground, but since it is still a playground, our SasaGorl found another kid who also would like to play there.

It's nice to spend a little time there because it wasn't so crowded with people (introvert me activated). She enjoyed playing there, but our SasaGorl said we can go back there so she can see the kid she was playing with again. Hmmmm, maybe next time, hahahaha!

A tiring day for Mommy but a fun day for the little one!
