SHS Days: Memories Worth Keeping

Hello hivers! Today something suddenly came to my mind. Sometimes I miss my senior high school more than I expected, the laughters and fun, homeworks and even those quiet moments during breaks and just talks all day and do some random chikas every break time, it was so much fun haha. Every now and then, I scroll through my gallery and see old photos of our class group shots from events, funny pics in class, birthday surprises, or random selfies just taken because we were bored. When I see those, I stop whatever I’m doing and wonder, how is everyone now? ![3_20250806_100550_0002.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/midnightspen/23wqnND7nkuLr39Mwnf4icTgvJWXLmX7zZbm4Q1kQM3ZH7PjNdvNQRQPA1szunNow8ieT.png) Back then, we saw each other every day. We were each other’s constants, whether we liked it or not. We had the same classes, teachers, and shared the stress of quizzes and projects. But more than that, we shared those memories of growing up together, figuring things out side by side. We laughed at the same jokes, supported each other on tough days, and celebrated even the small wins. Some of us were closer than others, but we were one crazy, loud, funny, unforgettable class. Now, everything has changed. We’ve all taken different paths in college, went to different schools and already have new friends. But there are still people I still talk to, others have slowly drifted away. And then there are those I haven’t spoken to at all since we last walked out of the campus gates as students. But despite the silence, the bond we shared during those years still holds a space in my heart. I see their faces in those pictures and I can almost hear their voices again, laughing, teasing, chatting in between classes. I remember our class officers doing their best to keep us organized, our group projects where the real challenge was dividing the work fairly, and the moments we all united for school events, cheering each other on and making memories we didn’t realize would mean so much later on. ![IMG_20250805_083136.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/midnightspen/EonkXTNejmT4EgbMPuaEBTYe3nLHFzdSmuGFphjGTwXtb1sPzuVATP4JhKcSnaSmU87.jpg) ![IMG_20250805_083151.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/midnightspen/Eoc7Tav2qk426pHprkxaZobF28cazbVLmV8z2FvvWuP5aw5XzfpjjFodpMPDrFByUvC.jpg) ![IMG_20250805_083145.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/midnightspen/Ep5ncfUazQKAeQ6nxJdLRZzMT2vdXwX3r35dgbW1kzUqAB3ZxxAQuiVeMct3i6P7eRJ.jpg) I then wonder how they’re doing. Are they happy? Are they chasing their dreams? Have they changed a lot or stayed the same? Did the shy ones come out of their shells? Did the class jokers find new people to make laugh? Did those who seemed so sure about life stick to their plans or take new paths? So many questions, and I might never know the answers. But I hope life is treating them well. Senior High school wasn’t perfect, but it was real (ofc it was hahahahaha lol). The friendships, the small fights, the forgiveness, the growing up, it was all part of our story. Even if we’ve gone our separate ways, those memories still live in my heart, ready to come back alive with just one photo or an old song from class. ![IMG_20250805_083107.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/midnightspen/EonmTy54dtophErAat3emczwphzXSSY8VxbNBtPZL5JBJAiH2RQkaPLaRdYDGJvQR4E.jpg) ![IMG_20250805_083111.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/midnightspen/Ep5o6xRWQyQwfZVv8QxJBUdYLDXmVUMtUofPsjoKK6bedFoc7yeUXBLcwmjMMNTCqF3.jpg) ![IMG_20250805_083117.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/midnightspen/Eo8SLRctqERJXhfQ9ad5gcRFbTS8zkoMTgDDKEfZ3v7LuaSe7W3fy235m7R7oWe5g6u.jpg) Sometimes I wish I could go back, even just for a day hahaha. I’d love to sit with my classmates again, laugh at our old jokes, recreate our class picture, and talk about where life has taken us it would be so much lol. But even if that never happens, I’ll always be grateful. Grateful that for a brief but meaningful time, I got to share my life with them. My SHS classmates my second family during those final teenage years will always be a part of who I am (weh)
