Sometimes, the best places are the ones that not many people know about. One of these hidden gems is Taginis Falls, located in Sitio Budlot, Barangay Bala, Moalboal, Cebu. It’s not a famous tourist spot, but that’s what makes it even more special.
To reach Taginis Falls, we didn’t just hop out of a car and find it right away. First, we had to walk through a trail in the mountain. It took us around 15 to 20 minutes of walking, but it wasn’t too hard. Along the way, we saw lots of green plants, trees, and flowers. There were birds singing, the breeze was cool, and everything around us felt fresh and alive.
The walk itself already felt relaxing. It was quiet, and we were excited to see what was waiting for us at the end of the trail.
When we arrived at Taginis Falls, we were amazed. It looked like a small paradise hidden in the mountains. The water was so clear and clean, we could see the bottom and even the small rocks beneath it. What surprised us most was how cold the water was! It felt like a cold spring, perfect for cooling off after a walk. The falls weren’t very tall, but they were beautiful. The water gently flowed down the rocks, and the sound it made was calming.
Around the falls, there were so many green plants, tall grasses, trees, and moss-covered rocks. It felt like we were inside a secret garden, untouched and pure.
Being able to set foot in this stunning place with my cousins was an amazing experience, calm, beautiful, and refreshing. It felt like we were far from everything, just surrounded by nature and peaceful silence. We didn’t do anything fancy. It was so peaceful there, no noise from cars, no crowds, no stress. Just the sound of water and nature all around us. We also swam a little in the cool water. It was cold at first, but after a while, it felt so refreshing. The place was clean, and we made sure not to leave any trash behind. We wanted to help keep it that way for others to enjoy too.

Taginis Falls may not be famous, but it’s one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever been to. It’s quiet, clean, and surrounded by nature.
