Hello to all Hivers! ππ» I have told you several times that I study Pharmacy. This determines the fact that I spend a lot of my time at the university in practical work and in the laboratories.
That's why today I decided to make my post a little different. Namely, to show you some of the things I do and that I managed to photograph. I hope you find it interesting to see what some of the most used herbs in medicine look like under a microscope!
I believe that herbs are one of the most unique things that the earth provides us and we should use them more often. Their application in medicine should be increased because their actions are vast and for every condition there is a plant that would help.
I have always admired herbs, but when I first touched them and saw what was hidden under the microscope, I was amazed. Some of them literally reveal unique paintings. I will show you some of them and I hope you like them!
These are pictures of flowers from the beautiful mallow plant (Malva sylvestris). It is used and applied against cough and various inflammations of the digestive system.
Surprisingly, this is the nettle you all know. I don't need to tell you how it burns when touched. It is the glands that you see in the photos that are to blame for this. Nettle is rich in vitamin K, B vitamins and acids useful for humans.
This is flaxseed, which many of you use every day! It is also used as an emollient and anti-inflammatory.
This is a hop flower. I think you all know what it is used for !Beer Also acts as an antibiotic and appetizing! Did you like beer too?
This is St. John's wort, which can be used as an antidepressant and photosensitizing agent!
And last but not least - a leaf of bearberry! One of the most used herbs. It is used mainly for urinary tract infections.
