Hello everyone, today I have an appointment with a Thai friend from the same village for lunch. This is a common activity for us, where we often find a menu to gather for a meal or just sit and chat about various things. In Thai culture, food is a big deal. My friend called me yesterday to invite me for lunch, so I prepared some food to share.
Today's meal was a beef dish. I made larb nuea, a rather spicy Isaan dish. I made the larb nuea before the meeting and then packed it in a lunch box. Then I made fried chicken. I used fried chicken wings. I marinated them in fish sauce and seasoning powder and left them in the refrigerator for one to two hours. Then I fried them in hot oil and packed them in a box. I also brought sticky rice with me today. We also brought some drinks.
When I arrived, my friend had already dumped some of the food out, but there were still some unfinished items, like grilled beef, burgers, and sausages. Tomorrow's food had to be prepared and served hot, so we helped make a few more dishes at that time.
There were also several more dishes my friends made. Today, another friend from abroad came along. He's a friend I know and we've met many times. Whenever we meet, we're always happy and chatting happily, just like Thais.
We started preparing the food and preparing each dish. I couldn't take enough photos. This is what all the dishes looked like. There were so many different dishes. There were about six of us eating, and there were two kids. The kids ate burgers and played together. The adults, like us, sat and ate, drank, and chatted for a long time. There was so much to talk about when we met.
And this is the atmosphere of our Thai friends abroad. I hope you all enjoy my posts and photos. Thank you for following. Have a great day!
