What is Wayang anyway? Wayang is a traditional performing art from Indonesia that uses puppets or shadows to convey the story. There are actually many types of puppets. There are Wayang Orang, Wayang Kulit, Wayang Golek, Wayang Topeng and many others. And this time I will discuss one of them, namely Wayang kulit. In this performance you will find many characters in puppetry. Wayang Kulit is made of buffalo skin carved to resemble humans and lined up on a white screen. In this Wayang performance we will find a story guide called Dalang, as well as several traditional musical instruments or Gamelan that will accompany the music and also Sinden or song carrier in every performance.

This shadow puppet show usually features various stories or we usually call it *Lakon* which is different in each show such as Ramayana, Mahabharata or other stories that have been modified. And for this time I will tell you how much fun I had watching this Wayang Kulit. Of course, we were all happy to welcome the Wayang Kulit performance held in our village. There were tons of vendors selling various foods along the way to the show. Everyone walked to the show, some just bought snacks, some enjoyed the culinary on the spot. Incidentally, my nephew also rode the Odong-odong game, she was so excited that she didn't want to be taken down.

Tonight's play is titled *Kembang Tunjung Sugandiko* which will be performed by a puppeteer named Ki Sun Gondrong and there are also special guest stars Jo Klithik, Jo Kluthuk and Proborini. This puppet show tells the story of a plague that hit the kingdoms of Astina, Amarta and Pancawati. The three kings realized that only Semar could save them. But Semar asked for a condition to bring him the Tunjung Biru flower. Then there was a commotion among the kings to find the Tunjung Biru Flower. Finally Semar helped them resolve the conflict and bring peace. Semar is a character who is known to be very wise in resolving disputes among royal figures.

In the middle of this performance session there is always a humor part that is usually done by the guest star. We usually call it *Limbukan* because in this session there is a puppet character named Limbuk who is known to be very jolly and also funny. He will perform the show with the guest stars and Sinden.
