Hola a toda la comunidad de Creative Papercraft. Es un gusto estar nuevamente con ustedes. Hoy les traigo un proyecto que nace de una historia familiar muy especial.

Les cuento que hace unos días, en una reunión familiar, surgió una conversación, en la cual hablábamos de nuestros pequeños que culminaron su etapa inicial de estudios, y mi sobrino mencionó con cierta nostalgia que no conserva ninguna foto de cuando él vivió ese momento. No le dije nada en ese instante, pero yo sí guardo una imagen de aquel día tan especial.

Así que decidí hacerle un regalo con doble propósito: entregarle esa fotografía que él no sabe que existe y a la vez, se me ocurrió acompañarla con un portarretrato hecho a mano. Donde el papel se convierte en el adorno estrella. Es un detalle sencillo, pero lleno de mucho cariño, para que él, pueda compartir ese recuerdo con su pequeña hija.

I'll tell you that a few days ago, at a family gathering, a conversation arose in which we talked about our little ones who had finished their early education, and my nephew mentioned with some nostalgia that he didn't have any photos of that moment. I didn't say anything at the time, but I do have a picture of that special day.

So I decided to give him a gift with a dual purpose: to give him that photograph that he doesn't know exists and, at the same time, I thought of accompanying it with a handmade picture frame. Where the paper becomes the star decoration. It's a simple gesture, but full of love, so that he can share that memory with his little daughter.

Para comenzar, trazo y corto con el cúter un rectángulo de 22 cm de alto por 17 cm de ancho sobre cartón gris o cartón compacto. Luego corto tres tiras: Dos tiras de 16 cm de largo por 1 cm de ancho y una tira de 12 cm de alto por 1 cm de ancho.

Es el turno de la pieza frontal es decir el marco visible del portarretrato. Para ello, trazo y corto otro rectángulo de 22 cm de largo por 17 cm de ancho, igual al anterior, pero esta vez le doy un grosor de 2,5 cm por cada lado, formando así la ventana central donde irá la foto.

En esta ocasión forrare la pieza usando la hoja de papel tipo carta en color rojo. Aplico pega sobre la pieza y la ubico en el centro de la hoja, me aseguro de que quede bien adherida, sin burbujas de aire. Para lograr un acabado limpio, hago pequeños cortes en las esquinas, retiro el papel sobrante y, en el centro, realizo un corte en forma de “X”. Con mucho cuidado, doblo y pego los bordes hacia adentro.
