Siempre me ha gustado darle pequeños toques personales a los espacios de casa, y la cocina no es la excepción. Esta vez me animé a crear un adorno para la nevera utilizando algo tan sencillo y accesible como la masa de sal, es un material casero que me encanta por su facilidad de uso.

Como me gusta todo lo que tenga un aire alegre y natural, decidí darle forma de naranja (no podría ser otra después de haber superado ese cuadro gripal), esa fruta siento que es vibrante, siempre logra trasmitirme energía y frescura. Y el resultado final es un imán colorido que, además de decorar, me recuerda que lo hecho a mano siempre tiene un valor especial.

I have always liked to give small personal touches to the spaces at home, and the kitchen is no exception. This time I decided to create an ornament for the fridge using something as simple and accessible as salt dough, it is a homemade material that I love for its ease of use.

As I like everything that has a cheerful and natural air, I decided to give it the shape of an orange (it couldn't be any other after overcoming the flu), I feel that this fruit is vibrant, it always manages to transmit energy and freshness. And the final result is a colorful magnet that, besides decorating, reminds me that handmade things always have a special value.

Materiales:

1. Pintura al frio (Naranja y verde claro).
2. Pinceles.
3. Pega escolar.
4. Masa (harina de trigo y sal extra fina).
5. Imán pequeño.
6. Barniz casero.
7. Palillo o cualquier objeto con punta fina.
8. Cepillo con cerdas duras.
9. Pegamento de contacto.

Materials:
1. Cold paint (Orange and light green).
2. Brushes.
3. School glue.
4. Dough (wheat flour and extra fine salt).
5. Small magnet.
6. Homemade varnish.
7. Toothpick or any object with a fine point.

Por supuesto el primer paso será preparar la masa la cual es super sencilla y fácil de manejar. Necesitamos: 2 cucharaditas de harina, 2 cucharaditas de sal, ½ cucharadita de pega escolar y agua. En el recipiente mescle la harina y sal hasta integrarlas muy bien, agregue la pega y revolví para luego añadí el agua de a gotas lentamente mezclándolo con paciencia. Hasta conseguir una textura moldeable y no pegajosa. El truco para lograr una masa perfecta es evitar el exceso de agua.

Cuando la masa esta lista la envuelvo en papel film y la dejo reposar por unos 20 minutos.

Pasado los 20 minutos, saco la masa y la divido en dos porciones una de ellas muy pequeña, ya que servirá para hacer el tallo y las hojas y la otra más grande que será la base de la naranja. Tomo la bolita más grande y con la ayuda de algún objeto la aplano, dejando un grosor de 0.5 centímetro aproximadamente. Para suavizar el contorno y darle ese aspecto redondeado más natural, humedezco ligeramente la punta del dedo y lo paso suavemente por todo el borde frontal de la pieza.
