Forgiving and forgetting is a constant activity, we do it because it is our duty as christains to forgive and forget for the sake of being ready for heaven. Human find it so difficult to forgive and forget bad thing that why the Holy spirit helps us to do so. When the love of God does not dwell with you it will be so hard to forgive and forget **Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.** God who oversees the activities of men, who knows the end from the beginning, Who can never fail to His word, who also have the details of what happened in the past and present, will forgive and forget our sins and the iniquities,then who are we not to forgive and forget those who wrong us. **Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!** With God being full of deep riches of His wisdom and knowledge , God with unsearchable love will still forgive and forget then why can't we forgive and forget one another. A question was asking to Jesus how many times will you forgive Jesus said seventy time seven which means continous you don't stop forgiving and forgetting and anytime you forgive and forget you operate on a level of unexplained peace and happiness.
