Not the Ideal Weekend

This Weekend, it was a different one, not like the usual one when I just eat, sleep, and repeat. This weekend, the whole country got 4+ days of vacation in total due to a religious occasion. When everyone is leaving the city for their hometown, I chose to stay here, all alone, and spend the weekend differently.

So, while everyone was buying tickets, taking preparations, and excited to leave for their hometown, I was writing down stuff, like what? I was making a checklist on what to do this weekend, to go YOLO? Or make it impactful, do productive stuff. So it included exploring the programming language, research, cooking, and walks. This isn't any usual checklist for me on any day. Keywords like research may sound familiar from other days, but the topic was solely different and unique.

I am all alone, for the past four days, cooking my own food, cleaning house, and working. Like seriously, who works on vacation? Or what kind of vacation is this? Actually, this isn't any direct work, but rather a skill development approach to learn something new that will boost my work efficiency and skill sets. My main priority was to solely complete the portion during this vacation so I could get started with other stuff. So the cycle was mostly eat, sleep, work, and repeat. Well, let's not get confused by the work keyword; it's like research, learn, and exploring something new, something that I am unaware of. So it's like an opportunity to enrich my knowledge.

After going through the cycle, finally it's gonna be over. Office from tomorrow. So just the previous night, I took the ending step. Went for a walk, a long one, kept it slow like the word ‘rush’ never existed. It wasn't just a physical one, but also a mental walk as well. While walking, I kept recalling the whole month, like expenses, to-dos, and all. It's like a walk to have a conversation with me. Like: life update, problems, steps to take, and whatnot.

Was this a fruitful one? It was a productive one, I would say, but not the ideal weekend. Because at the end of the day, all the stuff I did was to make a better version of me so it can serve me later. Sacrificing vacations just to have ideal vacations in the future seems funny. Hell yeah, that's what happened. Actually, the current situation is not suitable for having an ideal one, going through shifts.

So yeah, that's all I did during this weekend, not fun but productive.
