Sleepless Nights

3.00 AM and I'm sipping on my cup of coffee. Don't I have an office to go to in the morning? Yes, I have. Actually, feeling a severe headache, so nothing can beat a cup of coffee, fully caffeinated.

What about sleep? Let's forget sleeping six hours, more, or less; I see no difference. Joking, will sleep, whatever is left, but now I have tons of stuff to do. I had a flow which got interrupted by multiple tired versions of me who fell asleep before midnight, and now I got mine, can't let this sleep.

When I sleep, nothing can break it; fortunately, my sleep is so deep that I don't get disturbed easily. Wanna hear a recent fresh story? Yesterday, tired me, after dinner, and I wanted to take some rest before jumping on the chair for work. Suddenly, I was so deeply asleep that I didn't wake up in between. So what's funny? Wait a minute. Well, in the morning, I woke up late, and the weather was super comfy for me to sleep a few more hours. Outside, it was drizzling little by little. I didn't bother much. As I was already late, I had to rush. Coming close to my office, I noticed excessive water on the road, a water blockage, and then I got a glimpse that there was heavy rainfall. When I entered the office, almost 45 minutes late, I discovered the whole office was empty.

I was like, "WTF, where's everyone, am I going to work alone?" Then I discovered that half of the employees are on leave due to the heavy rainfall that took place last night. Their roads got flooded, and transportation isn't that easy to commute normally these days. Heavy Rainfall? Oh yeah, there was one, continued for hours, and that's the reason for the roads getting blocked.

So what happened, actually? We were fast asleep so deeply that we were completely unaware of the last night's storm; those who witnessed it took leave in advance. I faced obstacles in the office area. If I had known earlier, I could have taken a leave and lengthened the comfortable sleep. Well, I have almost 80% of my allocated leave remaining, which resets on January 1, lol.

Well, I don't like taking leave unless there's an emergency that I need to fulfill or I'm sick. Also, I don't like sitting at home on office days; they are paying me for work, every day gets counted, so why should I waste them unnecessarily? That's what I have always done, willing to let go from my end, but still I must protect what's the right of someone else, can't take curse or blame from others. The only problem is the morning, the time to wake up and go to the office, that moment feels like the sweetest time to sleep more. I feel like a strong magnetic attraction towards my bed and pillow every day.

Well, I have four hours remaining to sleep and wake up for the office, only four. Enough or not? I guess enough, at least it was fruitful for me to finish a hanging task from the backlog.
