Garden Journal Bi-weekly Newsletter 12th March 2024

Spring is making its way into the northern hemisphere and I'm seeing more gardeners making preparations for the growing season ahead. Seeds are being planted, which is something I also want to start on soon ready for the South Australian autumn/winter season. I wish I was as prepared as some of these gardeners!

I was thoroughly impressed by @sunscape's preparations for her spring garden. The pond has been cleaned ready for visiting ducks, seeds are sprouting and some have even started the process of getting acclimatised. I'm sure this garden will be stunning as summer approaches.

Over at the Laughing Dragon Garden @cosmictriage brings us more springtime delights as she sees what survived an extreme cold snap in February. It turns out that a lot of things survived and it was a stunning photo tour of a beautiful garden.

Someone else who has been making preparations for spring is @akipponn with a micro garden on the balcony. There has been some problem solving going on to try and figure out why this year has brought a low seed germination rate for some seeds. However, there is also delight as the perennials show their fresh spring growth.

Over in the Philippines, @suteru has started to blog about his family's journey to sustainable living. First comes the clean up and preparations, and what a stunning view to be working with!
