Forty-four minutes

The morning was windy. I didn't feel like getting in the water yet, but I was in the mood for a walk. Perhaps the main reason for that was that I wanted to find a little chapel I saw on the map at home. I was alone on my searching adventure, that is, if I looked behind me in the sand, I could only see my own footprints. However, later it turned out that I wasn't completely alone.

The breeze was refreshing and the sun was still slowly climbing up in the sky while I was walking towards... Would you know how to orient yourself and tell me which direction I was going, seeing the position of the sun and knowing that it was 10 a.m.?

You probably found it out already, it is easy, but just in case, I will confirm your guess. The sun was on my left, so I was walking towards the south. I walked towards the town of Santa Pola.

It is not that I had walked very far, but seeing the time of the photo when my invisible companion appeared and showed himself in visible form, I realised that the walk lasted a total of 44 minutes. I find this number as a nice one, so I will also use it for the title of this little walking by the seashore and finding a little invisible friend post. If you decide to stay with me and keep me company too, you will also see that cute little thing.

After 16 minutes and 38 seconds of walking, I arrived at the beach of the chapel.

Playa de la Ermita is its name in Spanish. It has a blue flag, which means that the beach meets some strict standards of bathing water quality. Also, it means that it has safety and cleaning services, although at 10:20 am, the lifeguard was still not in his/her position.

Obviously, the name of the beach comes from the fact that there is a little chapel there, by the parking lot. When I approached it, there was a man with his bicycle resting in the shade, sitting in the little fence of the chapel.

In that moment, I decided to walk a bit further and take a photo or two of that little building later, without interrupting his moments of rest. Oh, surprise!! I also met Mrs. Seagull again. Last time I met her, we talked about her family and children, about her free time, and yeah, we also mentioned Mrs. Jellyfish.

Today we didn't talk too much. Two minutes after our meeting, I was already at the next rocky cove, loving the sound of the waves and being happy to be able to visit the sea so many times. If I lived closer, it would be great, but travelling just a bit more than half an hour to reach the seashore is not so bad either.

Finally, here is the chapel of the Virgin of the Rosary. So small and simple, but very neat. I suppose not more than a few people can enter this little chapel at the same time. It was closed (maybe it has a timetable when it opens, I missed checking that out...).

In any case, the mission was completed. I found the chapel and could go back to the beach where we had installed our towels and parasol.

I walked along this sandy path, leaving behind the cape of Santa Pola, the chapel, and the green forest of pine trees, and entered the area of sand dunes, bushes, and benches (rocks with a piece of wood) featuring inscriptions.

But wait... where is that promised invisible creature that became visible after 44 minutes of walking?

Don't worry, I didn't forget it, nor did I leave it there. Of course it came home with me, because it is not so common to find...

What are you still doing here, outside of water? 😱 Go and swim, bathe, feel the silky touch of the water and take me home. You can be amazed by my encounter later. Now - sea time!!!

Okay, I had nothing against that order.

I did what the little seashell ghost told me, until it was time to go home, a few hours later. 🌊
