Instead of an introduction...
How do I start this post? I have no idea, but right now you are listening, or rather reading my thoughts as they come, without any modification. To be completely honest, somehow I don't feel it's appropriate to write this post today because the sad events in the country where I live have shaken me and I just think about it and all the families that have been affected in the most terrible way. That is a real tragedy. Flash floods hit the region and the city where my son studies, but he is fine and this afternoon he managed to get out of the city which was cut off until now. He is safe and so are we; me and my husband were not caught by this calamity in the city where we now live.
Despite the sad news I got myself to open the laptop and start writing this, as you can read. It is the first day of the month and I already skipped publishing the official topic for the Hive Collectors last month. It is clear that November can't stay without its own topic. Maybe not too interesting... we will see do you like my idea for the theme.
This is a small collection of tote bags that have one thing in common. Just look at the picture and you will see for yourself.
Let me show them better and present the official topic for November in the Hive Collectors community.
Tote bags (or other bags) that make a collection in your home.
It happens that my ones are connected to HIVE and Hivers. The black one arrived from Hamburg, from a Hive meetup held this spring. My husband was the one who brought it to me.
The very famous red Hive bag is my favourite. It was also brought to me by my other half, from the HiveFest held in Amsterdam. I have used this tote bag countless times and took it with me when I made some important moves in my life. It witnessed many moments from my daily life too so the signs of use are already visible. I still love it but maybe it is time to start using the newest one...
... which is this white tote bag that came to me from the latest HiveFest in Split. It was also already shown to the world on my shoulders. These bags are so handy, I find them very useful for many stuff, especially for music scores.
Speaking about music... this one arrived as a gift from one very talented musician, @tdctunes. A pen and a T-shirt also came in the package! Thank you, Tim, for these goodies - we love them! 😇
This tote bag is still not used as we were in a mess with the moving so the TDC goodies were packed in one box. Unfortunately, I lost one tote bag that is connected to Hive during the move. Last year when we were in Krakow, attending HiveBeeCon I bought a bag in the salt mine. I used it for months, then one strap got loose. I stopped using it and packed it but now I can't find it in our new home. I still haven't unpacked all the boxes...I guess it will appear when I don't search for it anymore, as it usually happens.
I know that the next bag doesn't seem to have any connection to our platform... but it does have. I got it from one Italian Hiver when he visited us two or three years ago. How time flies... this tote bag was the most used one among all my bags and its colour already faded out a bit.
Well, this would be all for this collection... unless I add two little bags that were gifts from my students. They are not connected to Hive either, but they can maybe inspire you to participate in the monthly topic for the Hive Collectors potentially breaking the rules and bringing any bags you want to show here as a collection.
