While some of the parts of our home still look like this...
...for a while now, since we couldn't finish the work earlier (and it's just one room; the others will have their turn too...), I've been feeling a bit lost regarding the things I used to do regularly. In particular, writing a post right now is quite difficult. I can multitask, live under pressure, push myself, and stay relatively mentally healthy (haha, relatively ๐), however, it's hard not to feel a little frustrated at not having time for online things. Yes, once again, I'm only referring to Hive, as I don't have any other social media, and my regular job doesn't require me to be behind a screen.
And then... after we painted the ceiling this afternoon and saw the empty walls of the room, the idea painted itself in front of my eyes. Pictures ~~at an Exhibition~~ from the other rooms! It was The Promenade, with its opening notes that bit me. This is not a bedtime story; wake up and make a collection of pictures!
Ok, ok. I have to listen to the admin of this community, of course, and bring a collection. So... welcome to the world of the scenes, flowers and people living in our pictures.
Let's start with the hallway and the floral theme that blooms here. Ok, some are framed in glass, so the reflection makes it impossible to take a decent photo.
In the small corners of the hall, there are smaller paintings of flowers, in really old-fashioned frames, but I like them. They remind us of grandma's houses, right?
The light in the opposite corner of the previous photo was dark; that is why I took off these two tiny paintings just for the photo. Now they are already back in their place.
Three additional pictures used to hang on the walls of the same hallway, but they were scary!! Literally, that gaze of the little girl was too odd, so I took them off. They now live in a drawer - very well hidden. ๐
Maybe I can replace them with our photos or something similar.
The tulip and daffodil photos bloom in the piano room, as well as the keyboard art. I think you already met them in one of my posts some months ago.
Here is the living room with its graphics, seagulls and a big painting that we took off the wall as we placed the TV there... poor deer, now he just waits, captured in his scene, leaning against a wall until a place is found for him.
Again flowers ๐
This is a painting a friend of ours painted and gifted us some years ago. We placed it in my husband's office. There are also two other graphics in that room, but they are above the screens, so we don't want to give away what he is working on, haha.
These ladies live in the bedroom, actually in their worlds and gardens. Sometimes they travel, and other times they talk or laugh.
The scenes from the countryside (in normal conditions) hang in our son's room, but clearly not now until we finish the painting of the walls. The restoration of furniture is finished by the way!! ๐
The doors of the big wardrobe are not yet assembled, intentionally, to make it easier to move the wardrobe while the walls are still being painted. When everything is finished, I promise a post will come, but that's another topic. We focused here on pictures, they make a collection, I think. ;)
If you have a collection of pictures in your home and you want to share it in this community, don't be shy. Bring them here, with their story. And don't forget that you still have time to participate in the monthly theme of May - shoes.
