We are in the middle of the summer; the warmest of all seasons, summer can bring us many hours of sunshine, outdoor activities, positive vibes, holidays, trips or spending more time with the family, especially as children also have their summer break from school. That is also true that there are people who can't bear this heat or simply don't like summer. It is also fine, we all have differences, and it would not be good if we all loved the same things. However, summer does have some special vibes, don't you agree?
I remember quite well my summers from my childhood. I used to spend my mornings at home playing with soft toys, dolls or books/magazines, pretending to be a teacher to dolls or invisible students. 😆 Also, I used to play the piano, both the pieces I had to learn during the summer and the ones I just liked to learn because I wanted to play them.
In those summer days, I loved to wait for my mother to come from work - those were happy moments each time she would open the door, give me a smile and a hug, and we would enter the house. My parents worked even in the summer, although their working hours were until 2 pm. We would have lunch together, which was prepared by my grandma, and in the afternoon, we would go either to the river or to the other grandmother who lived in the city centre, in a street densely planted with chestnut trees.
Those years are long gone, but I guess I especially loved them. Now, as an adult (I refuse to say old hahaha), I love summers because it is the time of year when I don’t work for two and a half months, but the only bad thing is that it always ends too quickly. I experienced summers as two days, and September always had to come, which meant going back to work. This year is the first summer that I am not afraid of ending with these good vibes, because I still don’t have plans whether I will work or not in the autumn. I think I want to give myself that carefree feeling and just enjoy the moments as they are, even though I don't know what the future will bring. Right now, we are spending our days exploring the new area and finding such cool beaches and sand dunes like the ones you see from these photos.
And then, without any special preparations or plans, the idea for this Summer Vibes community came... as you see it's new... 😅 where we can share our thoughts, feelings, habits, pleasures, experiences, trips to the beaches or rivers, summer concerts, walks, ideas for summer lunches, your plans for the summer, books you want to read this summer, your favourite summer songs, movies you watch on late summer evenings but also frustrations about the heat! Everything is legit.
Feet in a bowl of cold water to cool off, a love letter to ice cream, or an ode to your fan that saved you from the heat? Peaceful poetry in the shade, somewhere in nature, or hot, like the asphalt is hot in the city? The topics and forms to bring them are completely free, but they do have to be related to summer in some way.
I don't have high expectations, I just felt that the summer vibes needed a place to come. Maybe it will be just me who published this post and nothing else (well, I hope it will not be the case 😅); however, if you like the idea and would like to use the community to share your summer vibes, in any form, from any place, from the beach or your work, you are very welcome to do that. I would be glad to read your posts influenced by this sunny season, summer. 😉
