Vivir cerca del mar es el sueño de muchas personas, para otros pasar vacaciones en la playa puede significar meses y hasta años de planificación dependiendo del destino que se elija y que tan lejos quede del lugar de residencia. > Living near the sea is a dream for many people, while for others, spending a beach vacation can mean months or even years of planning, depending on the destination chosen and how far it is from their place of residence. --- En mi caso, vivo cerca de la playa mi casa está apenas a unas cuadras y a pocos kilometros, se encuentran otras playas que son las preferidas de los turistas y que en temporadas altas son las más concurridas, como Los Totumos, Puerto Francés, Buche, Caracolito, Chirimena y otras ubicadas en el estado Miranda, Venezuela. > In my case, I live near the beach. My house is just a few blocks away, and a few kilometers away are other beaches that are popular with tourists and are the busiest during high season, such as Los Totumos, Puerto Francés, Buche, Caracolito, Chirimena, and others located in the state of Miranda, Venezuela. ---  Aún así no voy tanto como quisiera ya que durante los fines de semana nos ocupamos en otras actividades. Eso sí, apenas surge la oportunidad, en familia o con amigos y sin hacer muchos planes nos vamos a nuestra playa preferida. > Even so, I don't go as often as I would like, since we are busy with other activities on the weekends. However, as soon as the opportunity arises, whether with family or friends and without making many plans, we head to our favorite beach. ---  En lo personal me gusta ir a la playa en temporadas bajas y entre semana cuando no hay mucha gente, y creo que esa es la ventaja de vivir tan cerca, poder elegir cuando ir y sin el bullicio de los turistas. >Personally, I like going to the beach during the off-season and on weekdays when there aren't many people around, and I think that's the advantage of living so close by—being able to choose when to go without the hustle and bustle of tourists. ---  Del mar me gusta todo, contemplar el horizonte, el cielo azul con sus nubes el ir y venir de las olas y el sonido que producen, otras veces esa quietud y calma cuando no hay mucha brisa, el vuelo de las aves y cuando algunas de ellas se lanzan en picada para pescar. > I love everything about the sea: gazing at the horizon, the blue sky with its clouds, the coming and going of the waves and the sound they make, and sometimes the stillness and calm when there is not much breeze, the flight of the birds, and when some of them dive to catch fish. --- También me encanta caminar descalza por la orilla de la playa, recoger piedritas, conchas marinas para luego devolverlas a la arena. > I also love walking barefoot along the beach, collecting pebbles and seashells, and then returning them to the sand. ---  El agua de estas playas es ligeramente tibia muy agradable para bañarse, a veces es un poco más fría dependiendo de los meses del año, y lo mismo pasa con el oleaje, de octubre hasta marzo - abril hay oleaje un poco fuerte. > The water at these beaches is slightly warm and very pleasant for swimming, although it can be a little colder depending on the time of year. The same goes for the waves: from October to March-April, the waves can be a little strong. --- Otra ventaja de ir cuando no hay tanta gente es que podemos aprovechar la sombra de algunos árboles como palmeras de coco, uva de playa y manglares, la diferencia de la sombra que producen estos árboles es notablemente fresca si se compara con la sombra de una sombrilla playera, así que a veces, después de nadar un poco o simplemente después de comer, me recuesto en la arena o en una silla de extensión y me invade esa sensación de relax que me adormece y es realmente placentero. > Another advantage of going when there aren't so many people around is that we can take advantage of the shade provided by trees such as coconut palms, beach grapes, and mangroves. The shade produced by these trees is noticeably cooler than that of a beach umbrella, so sometimes, after swimming a little or simply after eating, I lie down on the sand or on a deck chair and am overcome by that feeling of relaxation that lulls me to sleep and is really pleasant. ---  Comer, beber, nadar, y relajarme en la orilla de la playa mientras admiro la belleza de esta creación que tengo tan cerca, me llena de gratitud, ganas de vivir y aprovechar el tiempo con sabiduría ya que son muchas las actividades y preocupaciones que roban la felicidad diaria, así que he aprendido a disfrutar con lo que tengo en vez de amargarme y vivir con desespero deseando cosas que no necesito. > Eating, drinking, swimming, and relaxing on the beach while admiring the beauty of this creation that is so close to me fills me with gratitude, a desire to live and make the most of my time wisely, since there are so many activities and concerns that steal our daily happiness.
