Hello friends! ❤️

This time I thought why not share with you my last experience having a Cappuccino Viennese at one of my favorite Cafès in town?! (And write it as a response to this week's prompt).

The truth is....after having my second baby a few mounths ago, I can count on my fingers how many times I went out JUST FOR having a coffee. You can imagine is not always easy to go out with a small baby and a six year old. I mean...it can be sometimes, I'm not saying otherwise. BUt most of the times, it isnt. At this point, I wish for chill days, coffee in pijama, playing chess with Caleb or solving some puzzles instead of driving and going out. NO extra drama. Trying not to get myself even more tired that already am. And thats why I avoid going out just like that.

Anyways, I went to this café I’ve been to so many times before. I already posted about it, Sunrise Brunch.

Last time I was here (I think two weeks ago) I felt good, in a calm, light mood. My baby was in a good mood too, so we blended in. Haha

The moment I stepped inside, it was that same familiar feeling – soft background music playing, the rich smell of freshly ground coffee in the air and that cozy vine. Also, big plus: Sunlight came through the big windows, warming the wooden tables and giving the place a gentle glow. I truly like places having BIG windows.

There weren’t many people. Just two tables were taken: one with two guys who, to be honest, they looked a bit strange. And another with a family – two parents and two kids. My baby smiled to those the whole time. A little later, a friend came too, so we had a short chat.

About the menu

I decided to have a Cappuccino Veneziano. The thick, velvety foam looked almost too perfect to touch. What can I say? I'm all about the cream! Underneath, the coffee was smooth and slightly sweet, with a light nutty taste and just enough bitterness to keep the balance. It was a well made cappuccino: the kind that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment without even thinking about it.

And because coffee alone wasn’t enough, I treated myself to something truly special – fluffy pancakes filled with cream cheese infused with lime and basil, served with fresh strawberries, berry sauce, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The mix of flavors was PERFECTIOOOOOON!!!

Every bite felt like summer on a plate, and I loved every moment of it. I actually said to my husband just yesterday that I would love to go back and have these again very soon, maybe even this weekend.

Caleb, my eldest son, wasn’t with us this time, and I kind of noticed his absence. It's funny how we, mammas, want some "me time" and when kids are not around, we miss them and wish to be there with us. True right? I'm not the only one I hope! Haha

In the end, what can I say more? It was nice to see some familiar faces, serve delicious food I didnt make; and that comfortable café atmosphere that always makes me feel good.

Sending love and hugs to all of you ❤️
