Water is one of the most important thing that the human being and another living things needed in order to survive in our daily living.

Good day hivers !!!! Hello everyone ,happy walk at wednesday walk,today I'll give you a short walk and exploring the useful river in our place.

Lajog River

Lajog river can be found at a mountainous barangay in Bato ,Leyte Philippines.I am living here at 7years and just this year ,its my first time to visit this river after the supertyphoon oddette devastated our place.Our water supply is operated by electricity and since most of electric lines was damaged by the typhoon ,we don't have water for two months after the typhoon.Lajog river helps us for our laundries and bathing ourselves.

Water supply is one of the problem in our place here ,our family is lucky that my father in-law's boss allowed us to get some water from their electric operated water supply ,we need to paid monthly but our neighbors here are finding hard for the water.

Lajog river helps our neighborhood interms of water.They washed their laundries ,dishes and bathing at the river.And for those who are raising animals,they get some water in the river.

So for todays blog ,I'll take you a walk and I will show case the beauty of the useful river,the lajog river.

While the sun is not too hot ,I asked my son to accompany me since my little boy is sleeping so we got a chance to visit this place.

And there I saw a native guava ,native guava played a big role in my life back then ,during my childhood days ,gathering native guava is my way of earnibg money at the young age ,I used to sell it for me to buy my school needs like pencil and papers and it helps me to have a snacks during our recess time.I am not ashammed that i was selling guave before ,and I must be proud that at my young age ,I learned to find money on my own.

We only take 7-10minutes from the house going to the river and my son was so happy when he saw the water and asking me for a swimming .

Flexing ,the beauty of lajog river

I saw some river shell ,we called it susu,when I was young we lived at the mountainous area where we near at the river ,just a walking distance I think it take 50steps going to the rive ,if we are don't have viand ,river is our first option to visit and gathered some river shell,river shrimp ,crab and fish.Our river was abudant with that we only have to work hard of searching it.Sometimes,especially after floods,a lot of river shell are coming out and we gathered it and sell to the market.Its nice to reminisce those golden days I had. And today ,I let my son to enjoy gathering some river shell but we will not cooked it ,we put it back to the water coz its still small,many residence here are gathering this for thier viand too.

Lajog river is not only showing how beauty the nature is but how useful it is for some living things like us.Our contribution is to keep it clean amd protect it.
