**"Family is not an important thing. It’s everything."** — *Michael J. Fox*

Hello, dear hivers!! Welcome back to **MIYA**’s blog!! 💕 Last Saturday was one of those days that reminded me how simple moments with family can be the best. My sister, who is away from home, sent us money to treat ourselves, her little way of showing that she misses and loves us even from afar. At first, we only planned to go to **Worthy Spot** in **San Remigio, Cebu** since it’s close to home. But just when we thought the plan was set, my father came home that day and said, “Why not go to Bogo instead? I’ll drive”. And just like that, we all got excited, rushed to change outfits, and got ready for a spontaneous trip! *(I mean, who wouldn't? HAHAHA LABYO PADEAR!)*

Whenever we have a family date, our go-to place is always **Mang Inasal**. It’s our comfort place, our favorite! But sadly, we weren’t complete this time because my three siblings are away in college. Since we missed them, we considered eating at Jollibee instead, but my father had a toothache and couldn’t eat chicken, so Mang Inasal was still the best choice for us. *(P.S. Yes, both Jollibee and Mang Inasal serve chicken and pork, but my dad prefers **pork BBQ at Mang Inasal** and, of course, their **Halo-Halo** is a must!)*

Before heading to dinner, we stopped by **Gaisano Bogo**, which is right across Mang Inasal, to buy drinks. We wanted juice instead of soft drinks this time. While we were there, my mom also decided to buy pants for my younger brother since his graduation photoshoot was coming up on Monday. The shopping took forever! Almost an hour just to pick a pair of slacks, and my dad and I were just standing there, reminding them that we were **HUNGRY!** We even joked that Mang Inasal might close before we even get there hehue.

After a year char HAHAHA, we finally finished shopping and rushed to **Mang Inasal** to eat dinner. We placed our orders right away, *chicken leg for me, my mom, my sister, and my brother*, while my dad got *pork skewers, lumpiang togue, and three Halo-Halo* to share. While waiting for the food, my mom and sister debated whether to buy chicken bones to bring home for our dogs, while I took stolen pictures of them HAHAHA CUTE (Yes, they really did order the bones). When our food was finally served, we took family pictures to send to my sister, then dug in! Their chicken was so flavorful, the togue was perfectly crispy, and the sinigang soup??, as always, sooo sour but sooo good!

After dinner, we decided to visit **Bogo Plaza** to see the colorful fountain. The view was so nice, and my dad even took videos of us not until heavy rain suddenly poured down! HAHAHAHA! We all ran back to the car soaking wet, but even in the chaos, I still managed to take pictures for Instagram (@fhbjngt, feel free to follow me hivers!). My sister, who stayed inside the car, laughed at us the entire time. My mom even joked, **"Bahalag nabasa nga mura’g piso, basta naay ma-post sa Instagram!"** (It doesn’t matter if we look like wet chicks, as long as we have something to post on Instagram!) HAHAHAHAHA

That night was so much fun, and even though we weren’t complete, it was still a special moment. But I can’t wait for our vacation when we’ll all be together again. Spending time with family, laughing, eating, and making memories is really one of the best feelings ever. I hope we get to have more spontaneous trips like this soon!

That is all for today’s blog my dear readers! Thank you for being with me today. As I continue this journey, I @miyasomi, look forward to sharing more insights, lessons learned, and perhaps a few more simple joys that make the hard work worthwhile. Until next time, keep pursuing your dreams with determination, and don’t forget to appreciate the beauty in the everyday moments. Bye-bye 💞
