Yesterday, I had a chance to go to the city for the first time in a while and ate gozasouro. It is sold only in the city and in department stores, and I heard that the name is different in the Kanto region. The outside is soft and chewy, and the sweet bean paste inside is just the right amount of sweetness to keep me coming back for more. I remember that my dad used to love these and used to bring them home as souvenirs. It reminded me of the old days after a long time.

昨日は久しぶりに市内にいく機会があって、御座候（ござそうろう）を食べた。これは市内や、デパートにしか売っていなくて、たしか、関東では名称が違うらしい。外がもちっと柔らかく、中のあんこはちょうどいい甘さでついつい食べすぎそうになる。オトンも生前はこれが好きで、よくお土産に買って帰った記憶がある。久しぶりに昔を思い出した。

Igår hade jag möjlighet att åka in till stan för första gången på ett tag och äta gozasouro. De här säljs bara i stan och i varuhus, och jag tror att namnet är annorlunda i Kanto-regionen. Utsidan är mjuk och klibbig, och den söta röda bönpastan inuti är precis lagom söt för att man ska vilja äta den. Jag minns att min pappa brukade gilla de här när han levde och ofta köpte med sig dem hem som souvenirer. Det påminde mig om gamla tider efter en lång tid.
