A very iconic and regal looking bird, its easy to see why America views this bird with such reverence and symbolism. Its range stretches from Northern Mexico to all through the United States, into Canada and up into Alaska. They are very prevalent and seem to be able to find great sources of food. In Calgary with so many ducks it's really easy for these eagles to keep well fed. Sometimes I can spot them and their distinctive white hides flying overhead.
