Blazing up the Blackstone

This is my first time posting in a while. It's not that I haven't been active, I just haven't really felt like posting. Today I decided I better get back to it.

It was a pretty busy day today. I was going from start to finish. It was a beautiful day today which was a great improvement from yesterday. The photo above was taken while I was cooking in the rain. I had already planned to cook stir fry noodles on the Blackstone and I wasn't going to let the rain stop me. It was the first time I ever cooked that and it came out fine. I didn't get a lot of pics but this one was my attempt to impress my kids with an onion volcano. 🤣

Back to today, I had a busy day. I started off at church then went shopping, fixed a faucet, cleaned my car and my wife's car, went shopping again, fixed a car, tried my hand at roasting some walnuts and watched a movie with my son. It was pretty packed.

I finished the day with over 11k steps. I also found my Fitbit today. I had lost it for about two weeks. According to it, I also had 167 active minutes. I also had 6.5 hours of sleep which was pretty good.

Continuing with the theme: Each night I post the song that was playing as I ended the workout and use that as the title for the post for that day. The song from today was The Pot, by Tool. I really like Tool. I like the way they put their music together and I like how they always play double meanings in their lyrics. Many would say this song is about marijuana. I say it's really about hypocrisy and that it uses the marijuana controversy at the time as an example of that. Even the title of the song is a nod to a saying we have in the US (and probably elsewhere); "It's the pot calling the kettle black". The saying implies that one shouldn't be critical of another when they are so similar. I think that is what Tool was trying get across here.

Well that is it for today. I've got to get some sleep. Another busy day planned for tomorrow.
