Thrilling match today between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Chasing Afghanistan’s total of 227 drones Pakistan lost all of their top batsmen and they were 156 for six. A 50 run partnership between Imad Wasim and Shadab and substandard fielding and bowling by Afghanistan, a little important cameo by Wahab Riaz even with broken finger, Pakistan could get over the line. Afghanistan lost the nerve in the final overs. Pakistan was expected to win this match anyway and they did but shakily.
There is another match going on between Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand bowlers restricted Australia to 243 with a last over hat- trick for Trent Boult. New Zealand are 119/5 with 17 overs remaining at this time. Could be another thriller.
Hottest day of the year so far with temperatures touching 33c. I walked around the park in the evening. Nice breeze to take the heat away. Excellent day, have a great time.
