Plaza la Candelaria, una zona más acá en la ciudad de Guarenas por más que pasan los años está plaza e iglesia no cambia para nada su aspecto, sus alrededores aun con su estilo colonial resalta esa época de antaño, sus calles fabricadas con piedras, a pesar de los años transcurridos no pierde su estética.
Dicen que está plaza Guarenera fue fundada para la época 1887, al redor de 138 años, tanto fue su buena edificación de la iglesia que resistió al siniestro terremoto que hubo para el año 1990, siendo reconstruida la plaza.
Además de su restauración, agregaron está escultura o fuente de metal elaborada en bronce por el escultor y fundidor, Emile Antoine Durenne llamada "Fuente los Amorcillos de Guarenas"
La plaza la Candelaria es muy simbólica para el pueblo de Guarenas en las tardes las personas suelen recorrer la plaza disfrutando de una tarde fresca, una de cosas muy peculiares que tiene mi pueblo es que somos muy amigables y sociables la mayoría toma esa plaza como punto de encuentro.
Hermosa obra cultural y artística del Italiano Emile Antoine, digamos que es un gran patrimonio en nuestra ciudad de Guarenas. Además de la fuente y sus alrededores también encontramos locales comerciales que también le dan vida.
