Hey guys! I wanted to keep track of my winnings each season for both of my accounts so I figured why not turn it into a post and share it with everyone else?
Each season I'll report the amount of SPS I've won from both battle rewards (modern, wild, survivor, and brawls) as well as all the tournaments I played for that season on the two accounts.
From there, I'll keep a running average per season and extrapolate that over 39 total seasons to simulate what kind of value I will end up with after 1.5 years which should be around the time when 7th edition comes out, the set after Conclave Arcana.
For those that don't know, I have given my second account a max level of the following cards: Tofu, Cryptic, Squirrel, Lorkus, Elias Max Pruitt, and Nidhoggr for Archons and Rage, Kei, Venka, Mantaroth, and a level 5 Grimbardune Smith for units. You'll notice that these are all from the Rebellion conflict airdrop aside from Mantaroth and Smith, which are the Rebellion promo cards.
The rest of my alts deck is made up of Gold Foil Rebellion and Conclave Arcana cards which I've taken to a silver (now called Adept) level.
Since this is the first report, we'll only have 1 data point so let's dig in!
Starting with the main account we have 9,764 SPS from battle rewards. The 978 from Survivor Mode was left over from last season since obviously Survivor Mode was shut down for this season. I couldn't have earned any SPS from there.
What happened is on the last day two seasons ago I claimed my SPS and let the bot run down my deck but that put my claim on a 24 hour cooldown and then when the new season started, I started playing before I claimed again so rather than claim when I could and reset it, losing some data, I just kept it running.
After adding up all the tournament winnings for the main account we get 6,410 SPS.
My best win of the season was in the Victor's Modern Gold Invitational where I managed to finish 2nd place. Anytime you can finish in the top 4 you get the max payout for the tournament so even though I always want to win the whole thing, I am happy to get the top prize.
If we add my winnings from Battle Rewards to the Tournament Rewards we get 16,174 SPS this season for the main account.
Now I'm eager to see what my second account can do!
Since my alt account is not nearly as strong as my main the winnings are not nearly as high either. However, I was pretty happy with this considering the account finished in Champion 3 and I got as high as Champion 2 before dropping back down.
Because this account has Gold Foil cards it can play in all the regular foil tournaments as well as the extra gold foil ones it can qualify for.
After adding up all the tournament winnings we get 5,665 SPS.
I had a few strong performances this season including winning both the Ferexian Modern Silver Invitational GF and the Tidalring Modern Bronze Invitational GF.
These are my bread and butter as outside of some CL cards I don't have any wild cards so I'm glad I was able to win them!
After combining the winnings from Battle Rewards and Tournaments we get 11,312 SPS for Thoogen which I'm pretty happy with. That's a lot closer to my main accounts 16,174 than I thought it would be considering the difference in strength.
Now let's add them together and we get 27,486 total SPS this season from Ranked Rewards and Tournaments!
27,486 SPS x the current price of SPS = $258.36
If we multiply this by 39 seasons (1.5 years worth of seasons, should be around the time the next set comes out) we get 1,071,954 SPS or $10,076 dollars.
But here's the kicker... can I earn this much every season or was this on the high end of out comes? We won't know until I get more data points so for now this is more fun than serious!
On the flip side... if / when Survivor mode comes back, my main account could potentially earn a lot more.
Seeing the numbers like this is a big reason why I love Splinterlands so much! I've never been rewarded so well for playing a game before. I hope you enjoyed this dive into my Winnings for Season 159!
