All things bright and beautiful, all sewing going well, every stitches fitting perfectly, that is what gives me joy ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ
Here goes another sewing project nicely completed. I made it for my neighbors daughter which she wore to church yesterday and is yet to send me a picture of her daughter wearing this.

I was giving some fabrics to sew this outfits for them at the start of this week, which was Monday last week and Even though I am currently rejecting taking in more sewing project offer from friends and clients due to my upcoming exams my neighbor insisted that I must sew this for her and her daughter. I eventually ended up sewing two beautiful outfits before the week ran out right in the middle of my very tight schedule.

She knows quite well that I often give her so much discount for being a neighbor, she wouldn't get such discount else where, besides I made beautiful clothes. I often give every fabric my best creative touch. This is exactly what I did for this wear.

It almost doesn't look like I was the one that sewed this. Everyone in the house was liked the dress and made nice comments. I kinda envied how beautiful this came out and wish to sew this exact design for someone closer to me. I want to see this kind of creative touch on my nieces as well.

I started making this by cutting the lower part of the dress first, which I pulled into a gathers

Next I cut out the bodice block of the baby both the front and the back block here.

That is the satin, the white lining I had used all cut in the same manner

The fabric was originally pleated in a vertical format but instead of using it that way, I double crossed it on the front block with a fabric gum and iron, giving me a new different pattern for the clothes below

This is the highlight of the dress and what gave the upper bodice a unique beautiful look here.

Next was the stitching of the outfits. I used the linings to turn the necklines.

Cut a small hand for the sleeves as the dress is an off shoulder.

I stitched in the gathers to the lower block of the dress

And sewed the hemming for the gathers. Mind you this fabric wouldn't sew unless I added some oil or used a paper over the surface of the fabrics. It has some lustre that keeps cutting the tread

The last thing was the zipper fixing which was done here and our dress is ready. What do you think of the ๐Ÿ‘— ๐Ÿ‘—
