Hello Hive

How has our day been so far. Mine has been slow and sluggish typical of a lazy day when I don't get to go to farm and do some energetic work.

There is always down to be done here, when I'm not in the farm you will find me sewing, blogging or doing one or two task online. I have pending orders of people wear yet to be sewn which are due by this weekend. Been home all day I can attend to those outfits today and see how far I can get with them

Before then I had to finished up this my Work in progress dress. I'm sure that someone has seen this dress on the Blockchain before.

I made the dress sometimes back you can check out the link to the dress here https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@monica-ene/accepting-a-little-challenge-and-bracing-up-for-improvement-after-series-of-sour-experience-damaging-several-sewing-projects

It was my first time sewing a wrap dress then and I was practicing in order that I may get better with my skills such that I could begin to take orders from clients. Well that went well but the dress was never finished as I exhausted the fabric before I could could ABC.

The dress was left abandoned ever since. More so I lacked the idea on how to finish up the dress with already exhausted fabrics.

Now that my level of creativity has increased over the years, I have learnt alot about blending colored, fabrics and all that. Instead of keeping the dress Ideal I decided to try a fabric blend to sew how the dress will turn out

Since the dress has a touch of poccal white dot I decided to add a lace up sleeve to it. Luckily I have this left over of whit lace I have used for my dress earlier. Cutting a straight sleeve I attached it to the dress here

I have cut and attached straight sleeves of this exact lace material to complete one or two of my dresses before now, those dresses looked pretty but I'm not sure about this very one.

Next I stitched in some bias to tap the edges of the front bodice. Deciding specifically to use a white bias to add more touch of the white color to the dress.

Next I have seen two different belt to attack to the waistline on both side of the dress that can be used to overlap and tie the dress to ones body

The belt is what would be used to draw the dress to a fitting in ones body since it is an open dress with no zipper but an over lap the will be closed at the front.

Learning about color blend, fabric blend and all is an important aspect of fashion where one can creatively combine different types of fabric to make a whole.

I don't know what to think of this dress but I feel so satisfied with it and will be placing it on a online market place to see if it will be appealing to anyone.

I have to edit the blog to show you my very first client for the dress. Barely few mins of uploading the dress online sister is already demanding that I gift it to her , unfortunately it's not within her size range.
