Happy new day to us I hope that our day is coming on well. Yesterday evening I was able to sew this beautiful square peplum blouse and I though to share the making process with the community.

It is very funny how I often arrive at some creative inspiration. Sometimes it's fabric other times it is something so weird. I have seen how people sew umbrella tops before and so many other outfits resembling the shape of whatever they desire.

Having loved several ball gowns today I wanted to sew a top in the shape of a square.

I got this scraps d fabric from a fellow designer shop. She has already cut and sewn what she wants of the fabric and have thrown this away in her dustbin, being the type of person I am I wouldn't appreciate to see anything go to waste unless if there are truly not useful anymore.

You can see the tiny pieces of each of the fabrics. I thought about what to make of it but never got a perfect idea. I decided to start working and often times the idea starts to flow when I place the chalk and scissors down to cut.

Since the fabrics are scraps there will be no sleeves for my clothes and jut desiring fo sew an armlet I made it a cut together blouse here, adding both sleeves go the shoulder together

Now here goes the upper part of the cloth been cut in a kimono design. I got some bias and used it to tape the neck of the upper bodice and hemmed the sleeve lines.

That was completed and I have my upper bodice all ready here.

Having giving this a good thought on wether to add some gathers or flair go the lover bodice, I suddenly realized that I have longed desired go sew a square peplum and since the fabric wasn't enough, this seemed like the best opportunity to practice it.

You see how I have chalked this out, this is how to cut a square peplum, once you cut it out like this, it will give you the high low effect on my blouse

I took the peplum used a bias strip to tape the edges so that it will demarcate and brighten out the high low effect more.

Next I attached it to my upper ice and a beautiful be blouse is ready. I globe the finished look and all the manipulations I did to manage the fabric. The cut together sleeve and the high low square peplum made the blouse stand out.
