Happy new month to my needlework family, it's a pleasure to witness a new beginning and I hope that we are making the best of the time and seasons. The year is running fast and it's so surprising to see that we have spent passed the years mid already. I hope that we are all keeping track of our years goals and ticking out the successes made so far.

I just know it that every lady needs a camisole be it a short one locally called a singlet here or the longer version of the type I have just sewn for myself here. It's been a very long time I have wanted to own something like but getting a spare fabric had been a challenge. You can decide to own this armless dress for various reasons as they are useful and after making this one I feel so satisfied and wish to see a few more of varying colors.

My camisole can go with a jacket like this to become a lovely official wear or I might decide to rock it in a casual way with any color of top underneath. It is beautiful to wear either way. So my ladies it's time to add something useful to your wardrobe and I hope that you will find this tutorial useful

Cutting

If you happen to be someone of my size and gets a 45" fabric that has a double length such is enough to make this dress

Cut a single bodice with waist, length and hope measurements.

1000017510.jpg 1000017509.jpg Ensure that you cut the necklines wide enough. I used 4" depth and width for this dress. I added some dart allowance and then proceeded to cut the dress.

Sewing

You don't need much for the sewing of this, just your bias strip thread and zipper.

First I turned in the necklines neatly with the bias strip

And then sewed the shoulders and side seams together

Next was sewing a neat hemming which I gave the dress a good press afterwards.

Don't forget to sew in your darts as this is the only design in the dress that will give it some form and beauty. That was done and my dress is completed and ready.
