Hello Hive
A beautiful morning to my friends and loved ones especially my homesteaders and gardeners. I almost didn't feel motivated about going to farm today and even after getting to the farm here, there is not much to be done. The lack of rain has weekend farmers too much, while other crops are drying out we have just a few that are still standing by.
This okro is one of those plants that isn't yet affected by the rain. The location of the okro is close go a smaller river and water has consistently been used to pump the farm here. If you remember the lettuce we have grown earlier here they are actually in close proximity with the the cabbage. They are all enjoying the irrigation from the river source and haven't been affected by the current drought.
It is no doubt that a fertile soil is needed to grow some healthy vegetable. The okro has also blossomed do well just like the lettuce. The land is so fertile and this was the reason why I was taking cautions about the use of fertilizers on Vegetables.
For growing vegetables it is preferable to plant on naturally fertile soil, preferable one can use organic fertilizer for preparing ones soil rather than the use of inorganic fertilizers on Vegetables. Vegetables are short lived plants and using inorganic fertile to enhance rapid and excess growth posses lots of threat to our health
The okro farm has barely spent 4months, while fertilization and fruit bearing is ongoing and we are just about to harvest some for food. No fertilizer was used on this okro yet you can see how this has produced so well.
The best sutable condition and location for growing these vegetative, both okra, cabbage and the rest of them is a fertile land mostly by a river so yhat subsequent irrigation can be deployed during a period of lack of rain loke we are currently having
Outside this location one equally plant okro in some field where the soil is fertile although when carrying out this type of planting it should be done during the periods where there is maximum amount of rainfall at the begggining of the farming season or the peak of rain at the last quarter of the year
When planting veggies we must ensure that we use a quality field rich in nutrients such that we can completed by avoid the use of inorganic fertilizers. I'm going to harvest and show you what kind of soup I will make of these.
