Hello Hive

A pleasant morning to all our hive friends and my beloved homestead community. So long as it is a duty for man to eat everyday I find it so much pleasure to appreciate that hands that grow the foods we eat. Isn't it obvious that in all that you do food must be involved and today we are not just talking about eating but eating the right kind of foods to keep our bodies healthy.

Growing up as a child I was introduced to different kinds of foods available in our locality, even our African Traditional religion uses different kinds of foods and vegetables for different purpose to enhance the human body and health. Every leaf is of value and importance to us. While some serve as food, most are medicinal and while eating just vegetables it can kick out various diseases that will affect our health now or in the future
It isn't enough to eat starchy foods without adding fruits and vegetables. I'm so satisfied that our farming exercise didn't leave out vegetables. We are able to plant some needful ones like the ones we have here

You won't believe that this particular set of vegetables were planted this October. It took barely a month for this to grow to this length hence growing vegetables is one of the easiest things one can do and at anytime. If you get a good and quality soil like this one here it will take just about a month for you to have some quality vegetables for food. Having grown some veggies it becomes easier to replace some of the starchy foods we eat for vegetables.
There are so many different specie of vegetables out there while some people find it easy to eat certain types of the veggies than others I am particular interested in harnessing all the nutrients from different veggies available. As it is important for me eat veggies I also try as much to learn how to grow the veggies

This year was the very first time I experienced growing lettuce and I'm so glad for the experience. It became vital for me to learn how to grow different vegetables especially the ones I grew up eating without having enough knowledge of them.
Currently I grow spinach, jute, okra, fluted pumpkins and now lettuce. You can begin the journey by learning and following a simple blogs on how to grow and eat healthy vegetables.
