Our First Unforgettable Outing

 It was a beautiful Tuesday morning. My friends and I decided to have an outing. But before that, we made plans together, like what materials to bring, the location, affordable foods, the time of arrival, and when we would go home. We decided to have our outing at the sea because it had been a long time since our last visit. Also, the atmosphere there is so windy, a perfect spot for relaxation after a long period of always being at school.  To be honest, this was the first time we hung out together. Also, it was the first time our plans went as expected. All these years, we longed for a chance to bond together as best friends. We had planned last year and the year before to have an outing, but it didn't go as planned because, on the day of the outing, some of our friends had urgent calls or work, so our outing had to be postponed indefinitely.  But now, our outing together has finally come. All we drew for the past years is now finally colored. We are so happy and excited because we are all prepared for this to happen.   When we arrived, we already felt the chilly wind, the rustle of the trees, the softness of the sand, the beautiful brightness of the sun, and most of all, the wonderful waves of the sea.  We rented one table to put our things and our food. Since there were just the three of us, we didn't bring too much food to save money. We only brought enough food that we could eat all of it.  We bought a common street food in our locality called "Timpura." My friends asked me to look after our things because they were going to buy soft drinks, so I was left alone. They took so long to buy the drinks, and I found out they also bought some ice cream so they could use the cups for the Timpura sauce, as they forgot to bring a glass. When we were about to cook, my friend noticed she had also forgotten to bring oil. I laughed so hard because I really thought we were totally prepared for this, but we were not. Since we didn't have oil, we had no choice but to buy some from a store, as it was essential for cooking.  We looked at every store and asked if they sold oil. We almost went to the market because, unluckily, the stores didn’t have any. We went back to the sea, full of sweat and thirsty. My friend kept apologizing because she was responsible for bringing the oil but mistakenly thought she had packed it.  I said it was okay, it's not a big deal. As they say, no matter how prepared you are, there is always one thing you will forget. Since my friend took responsibility, she volunteered to cook and prepare our food. We assisted her with the cooking so it could be done effectively and smoothly.  As we waited for our food, I got hooked by the wonderful skies, so I took some pictures. I was thankful to God that He gave us a wonderful day to let this outing happen and to enjoy this memorable day in our lives.  While we were waiting for the food, my friends suddenly grabbed me into the sea. I couldn't pull back because both of them were grabbing me, and I was alone. From the start, I didn't plan to bathe in the sea because I didn't bring an extra t-shirt, but since I was already there and totally soaking wet, I thought it would be better to go with it. It’s rare to have this opportunity, so I decided to make it worthwhile. But a few hours later, the skies dimmed, and the sun was covered by clouds like it was going to rain. As expected, it rained. We immediately got out of the sea and rushed to move our table to a covered area so our things wouldn't get wet. We kept praying to God that the rain would stop. We kept saying, "God, just give this day to us; this is our first time having this together."  A few minutes later, the rain finally stopped, and we were so happy because God answered our prayers. We went back to the sea and started swimming. It was high tide, a perfect day for swimming. We didn't go too far because we also watched our things on the seashore, afraid they might be snatched by someone.  While I was swimming, I saw a snail and showed it to my friend. My friend got interested in looking for more, so we stopped swimming and decided to look for some sea shells. Luckily, my friends found some sea shells; they got more than I did. We came out of the sea and cooked them. Then we ate together. When the siren rang, indicating it was already 12:00 noon, we decided to pack up our things and go home. We didn't stay too long because my friends had something to do. It was a wonderful and funny day. Bonding with friends is an experience worth remembering.
