From strangers to Friends: Building a relationship with Neighbors.

In the world we are living in now, having a neighbor might be a blessing or calamity sometimes, depending on how we see it. Unlike before. I will say that a lot has changed. The world itself has really changed, unlike when you used to trust your neighbors to do everything for you. Back then I still remember vividly that most of the time that our parents won't be around, our neighbors used to do most things, and if they are not around too, my parents will be the ones in charge, vice versa. However, we also grew good bonds with the children, so if both parents are not around, the seniors among the children will take care of each other.  This makes us grow to the extent that you will hardly know who gave birth to whom because most times they might even be in our place to sleep and we might be in their place to sleep. We eat together and do a lot together; most of us cry if they want to travel. That was what we used to do back in the day. But now everything is so different. The world itself is not the way it itused to be, and neither are the people in it. People love their privacy more than anything. I'm not saying you shouldn't like your privacy, but at some points you will need people around you to help you to do some things. People generally are now doing more bad things to each other. I believe this is where most things got wrong; everyone is scared to leave their belongings to their neighbors just because they don't know what they are capable of doing behind the closed doors. But just the way we have bad neighbors, there are still good people out there. I personally just believe setting boundaries is not bad, but people still need to know some things about you in case you need help. Let me give you an instance of what I have been saying so far.  I travelled to work last week, which I have been doing before, but last week I forgot one important file at home, and I need it so bad. The journey from my workplace to where I forgot my files was like 100 km, so it's definitely not a place I can rush to. I then remembered that I left my key for my neighbor. This isn't the first or the second time I will be leaving my key behind, though. So when I needed something, I called my neighbor and described the kind of files I was looking for. God is so good; after a few minutes of her finding them, she got the files. And send it to me. I used it for what I needed. Funny enough, it was just a code I needed from that file. Now imagine I needed to travel back; it would cost me lots of money and stress, but just because I have a good relationship with my neighbor, they were able to be there for me when I needed them. So in summary, having a good relationship with your neighbor is very important. Because there will be a day that you will need them. My neighbors have saved my life and saved me from stressful times, without number. ^{_{Images from Meta Ai}}
