Youtube is the second most visited website in the world wide web with 34.6 Billion monthly visitors according to Visual Capitalist. So to speak, this site has been of a great help to anyone across the globe.
According to Matthias Funk, a co-founder of Tubics, there are 37 Million Youtube channels already as of 2020. He also emphasized the 23% increase of created Youtube channels on the platform of last year and at least 500 hours of video every minute uploaded on the platform. Read More/Reference
I personally have observed this great changes for I have been using this platform since then and started my own channel last 2020. In the platform, I too was able to express my self and to share my learning about life and anything under the sun. I also love soaking into the platform for both educational and entertainment purposes.
In this blog, I will give my honest review about Celestine Gonzaga-Soriano's Youtube Channel and let's see if her channel is worth the subscription.
Celestine created her channel last January 14 of 2019 but now she has more than 101 Million views. Perhaps, she forgot to create a description of her channel because you can't see any description at all in the About section.
She currently have more than 3 Million users as of writing (yeah, I'm one of those 3M) and with more than thirty (30) videos uploaded.
I have been a subscriber to her channel when it was still newly created around 2019 because I already knew her through her television shows and programs.
Celestine Gonzaga-Soriano is known as Toni Gonzaga by Filipinos. She is a versatile actress who can do not just acting but also singing and hosting. Since the shutdown of their T.V. network, I saw her in the different channels on Youtube that is also administered by their network. Later on, she became active in posting updates on her Youtube channel that was so rare when it was newly created. I guess that was because she's so focused on her career as an actress and a host.
Now that she's able to manage her channel, she's actively sharing different kinds of videos that she divided into four categories or playlists, namely: Toni's thoughts, Toni Covers, Toni Travels, Toni Talks.
REVIEW
Content
Most of the content on her Youtube channel is all about her principles and her learnings in life. She usually post it in Toni's Thoughts but lately, what became the talk of the town is her program entitled Toni Talks where she invites celebrities, content creators, and influencers where she interviews them.
Their stories are full of triumphs and failures where any adult can relate to. At times their stories will make you laugh, will wrench your heart, or will make you cry. Nonetheless, you'll carry many insights and realizations after reaching the last part of a video.
There's also a balance between her and her guest's life principles and religious beliefs. Yes, Toni G. never forgets to share a part of her belief in most of her videos but she never sounds agressive in emphasizing her faith.
Toni's Personality
Doing personal interview is really hard especially when the topic is too serious and depressive. But, in her program, you can really see a professional yet friendly Toni. She knows how to listen to her guests, she knows how to respond well after each response, and she knows how and when to blend with the humors of her guests.
Though it's her vlog, still she allowed her viewers to learn from the life of her guests by allowing them to speak their hearts and their silent battles, and how they have conquered those battles. Truly, someone's struggle can be someone's survival guide (in the future).
All throughout the interview, you can see a respectful host and a vulnerable yet respected guests because of the excellent conduct of Toni.
Language
The language used in her videos or in her interviews is Filipino which means it includes both Tagalog and English languages. But Tagalog was mostly used since it's the mother tongue of the host and most of her guests.
Unfortunately, as of writing, captions/subtitles is not enabled in most of her videos which may be the downside for non-Filipino speakers.
Video Length
The length of her videos ranges from 10 minutes to not more than 30 minutes (except song covers which usually lasts about 3 to 5 mins). This video length is quite enough to accompany us while we're eating, or while we want to multi-task, or just binge-watching vlogs.
Number of Advertisements
It may be funny to include this in my review, but hey, won't you agree with me that adding too much advertisements in a show is so destructive already?
Based on my experience in watching her videos, I only see at most 3 advertisements. Usually she adds it in the beginning or at about the end part of the video. The number is already enough for me compared to other vloggers who seem to have more advertisements on their video than to create more quality on their content.
Final Verdict
Celestine Gonzaga-Soriano's Youtube Channel is appropriate for all adults who are struggling in life. It has a lot of stories that can be our survival guide specially in our rock-bottom moments. The way how the interviews are conducted is excellent. She was able to handle her guests with utmost respect.
Her video lengths and advertisements are also enough given the quality of content that you can get from it.
With that being said, this youtube channel is highly recommended to people who can understand Filipino. Hopefully, in the future, Toni's team will be able to add caption so that international viewers can also enjoy the show. So, is her channel worth your subscription? Yes, 100%.
Lastly, I hope this reminds us to strive harder in producing quality content even here on Hive (or in any platform). True enough that we are all content creators but not everyone can be an influencer. And not all influncers are good influencers.
