In today's post, I'll tell you about a somewhat complicated little trip, not because of the journey, nor because of the destination, but because of the return trip, but we'll get to that later. But what I'll tell you now is how happy I am to be reunited with my calisthenics buddies at the park next to Estadio Independencia in Puerto Cabello. That's right, I'm back in my homeland before heading to Barquisimeto in search of Hive glory. This is the start of my short, but still risky, journey to the Second Edition of Hive's Category Versus at Sambil in Barquisimeto.
First of all, the bus driver took 3 hours to get to Puerto Cabello, which was pretty fast, to be honest. Second, and I'll repeat it again, it was a pleasure to practice again with the guys from the Shimazu clan; it's always a pleasure to spend time with kids like @ciberman-76 and @Psycho-Joseph. I'm also looking forward to the opportunity to return to my role as a calisthenics instructor and instruct you in the fine art of dynamics, but that will be after Sunday so I can have more time and without the pressure of having to rest my muscles for special occasions.
Speaking of the competition, I'm going to be honest and tell you that I'm actually a little worried because the truth is, "nothing ventured, nothing gained," but you haven't seen me take risks (hehe). Honestly, coming to Puerto Cabello is easy if you take the five-hour drive from point A to point B, but a trip to Barquisimeto is definitely quite extraordinary for me; it's a place I've never been to; it'll be just me taking care of myself in an unfamiliar place. Plus, my participation in the competition is also uncertain. There will likely be more than 10 athletes in the Amateur category, so it will all depend on my luck.
And that's not all. Even if I compete, there's still the return trip to Puerto Cabello. "Will there still be buses available?" "What if I don't have enough money?" These are the questions that have been running through my head, and even though I'm losing more than I'm earning, I'm going with faith that I'll be included among the 10 participants and hoping to return home that same day. Because I joined Hive not for money, gifts, or recognition, but for the competitions in which I not only compete and challenge other people, but also myself, proving that I've improved, that I've surpassed myself. If the risk of that improvement is being stranded in a state I don't know just because of Hive, then I'll take that risk. That's all for today, and I hope to see you in my next post. 💪🏻
