Today I have a feeling that I will not be able to forget in a short time. I have been away from the smell of home, the laughter of my parents for almost two months. Today I suddenly felt like leaving all the files, reports, and all the pressures of the office aside and just running towards home. But the reality is that home is almost 600 kilometers away and the office has given me an important task for today. So despite my desire, it is not possible to move today.
It has been raining all day today. Misty drops of water are falling from the sky, the road is wet, and the smell of earth is in the air. In such weather, my mind seems to be drawn towards home even more. Many of my office colleagues are spending time with their families today instead of going to Afield. Hearing their stories, it feels like I am sitting here and just imagining going home. The smell of food prepared by my mother, the story of tea with my father, the laughter with my younger siblings all come together before my eyes.
Today I have understood more deeply that there is no place happier than home. Home is not just four walls, it is a symbol of affection, warmth, and security. No matter how far we are, no matter how exciting the new city or new experience, the familiarity and comfort of home is unmatched.
Despite the rain, the distance, the responsibilities of the office, the mind is always home. The place for home in our hearts can never be filled.
