2025: Tough But Until The Final Hour, No Losing Hope

Looking back to the cross over service we had in church for the new year.looks just like yesterday. One would never think we are already in the ninth month of the year. This is not the normal economy we used to experience in Nigeria but as usual, we walk the dark with *suffering and smiling* tactics. I won't be fair to my self if I said the year have been smooth because we all know, all over the world, inflation is hitting hard especially with the consequences of the Israel-Iran war which made international trade difficult. Those of us who depend on salary to sustain our families are having it hard because our local currency exchange rate is seriously low in value. And since we are still a consumption nation, in the voice of Peter Obi, most of the good we buy in the market are imported and thus, expensive. Our take home wage can no longer take us home. It is indeed a hard year to crack. When we transited into the year, I had no plans. I just want to take every year as it comes. This is my first time in about two decades where nothing is done about my new year resolution. It want to avoid heart attack while pursuing a goal. Hence, over the weeks and months, I seek to further cover some of the grounds I couldn't in 2024. We had packed in to avoid paying rents towards the tail end of the year, 2024. It was not perfected though, we could now sleep with our two eyes closed. With little resources, we jumped into the plumbing shop to buy we needed to fix into the bathroom and kitchen and I can tell you vividly that money is good. It changed the face of our home. Part of the plumbing job was to drill a borehole to supply water to the main building and that has been achieved. For this, I would say that I am glad despite the toughness of the year, God has shown me mercy to.pull through. You know the feeling of packing into a new house with a new car. That was what we had to do but Nigeria happened to us. We were not able to buy a car though, our next move is to get one for the family. Traveling through the new site to the main town for events and church services is not an easy task, we hope that in the coming weeks and months before the end of this last quarter, God willing, we would get a good car fitting for a family of four. As a man of faith, I know that God's time is the best and never expire. I am a fan of miracle. Until the last hour of this year, I believe that something better can still happen in the year. This year may appear tough, our God is able to make us scale through with favour and mercy which we do not deserve.
