Life is a bunch of experiences for humans and to be able to scale through all that comes with leveling to the tasks that makes life worth living, we must be able to balance all aspects of our lives.
Physical and mental health are integral parts of the general life of a man. One depends on the other and none of these two can stay apart. Before I delve into how I balance my physical and mental health, I would like us to define both terms.
### Physical Health
The simplest way to define physical health is that it is the general well-being of the body, including the processes of maintaining proper nutritional habits, performing daily activities, sleeping, regular exercise and avoiding harmful habits such as smoking, excessive consumption of alcohol. Physical health goes further, it involves having a strong and resilient body, free from illness or injury and being able to manage everyday stress and a healthy lifestyle.
### Mental Health
This refers to a person's emotional, social and psychological well-being. It also involves how individuals feel, think and act in response to the ups and downs of life and the ability to cope with stress, make decisions, form relationships and contribute their quota to society.
From the above definitions, one would come to understand that life and health are inter-related or inter-connected. As such, to keep fit is the best way to balance both your physical and mental health.
Life is generally short and full of risks. One thing I don't do is never take unnecessary risks. To live a peaceful life, I do not bite more than I can chew. Many people tend to stress themselves by taking loans for luxury. In the end they do not have the financial ability to settle this debt which may get them unsettled.
When the going gets tough and life itself brings a dangerous degree of challenge that may threaten my mental health, I take a break. During this break, one seeks out to find a solution on how to tackle the challenge. Today for instance, I got an assignment that took me round the city of Lagos,it was a tough one. At some point, I just strolled to the beach front to ease up. After a short while, I regained my alertness and set out to complete the task.
Eating a good diet also helps me to keep my physical and mental health active. Good food and water plus fruits is what I do while steering clear from alcohol, drugs and smoking. I watch a lot of medical reports to know the status of many people who are facing medical problems because they abuse their physical and mental health intentionally.
Another thing I take into consideration is that I draw a to-do list for me to easily pursue and meet up my daily goals. Working under supervision makes me less effective. From my daily to-do list, I take each task and complete it, then have enough time to relax.
During most weekends, I undergo exercise. Jogging and burning out toxics is the way to go. When you are an office person you would see that you do not burn out fats because you sit in the comfort of your office, sipping coffee and milk from your mug under the air conditioner. Exercising keeps you fit by reducing the symptoms.of anxiety and depression. For me, I engage in different types of exercising, from trekking to jogging, skipping and sitting up.
At other times, I relax to calm my nerves through watching movies or sleeping. I find sleeping more rewarding than watching movies though because sleeping helps you reset your nerves and cuts down stress as much as possible.

I take some time to play games. My favourite game is scrabble. When my friends don't come around to play with me, I play against the computer or tackle someone online, all in an effort to keep body and soul together.
Water is my best drink. Any other kind of drink could be ceremonial but I have a habit or addiction to water. Also, I eat a lot of fruits. Recently, I started taking natural lemon with hot water first thing in the morning. It was not recommended by a doctor, but my doctor friend told me the economic importance of taking lemon juice plus ginger and hot water on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, all in a bid to balance my physical and mental well-being.
