When it comes to how individuals organise their personal lives I have been and still remain to a large extent of the view that we should live and let live provided that the way that people are organising their personal lives doesn’t endanger or impinge on the rights of others. I’m also tolerant of those involved in BDSM provided that what they are involved in and what they are favourable to are, in the words of responsible BDSM’ers: ‘Safe, Sane and Consensual’.
What appears to be going on at the Trans Pride Portsmouth (TPP) organisation seems to be neither safe, sane or consensual and also is driving a coach and horses through any concept of basic safeguarding. According to a post made by Ripx4nutmeg, there’s been a massive row that has broken out within TPP and what is coming out of this row is extremely worrying. Apparently the organisation had a Discord server that was supposed to be divided into two parts, an adult section which as you can imagine is going to be highly sexual and a separate area for minors with an interest in the trans issue.
Set aside for a moment the lunacy of having an area of a server set aside for teens to get dragged further and further into the gender identity cult, it should be obvious that areas that are for minors should be heavily policed by moderators and should not be a place for potential predators, which TPP’s server seems to be. That’s not what appears to be happening with TPP and its online meeting places. According to Reduxx who have obtained screenshots of a Substack written by somone who has been involved with TPP, those in charge of this organisation allowed for a short while, a ‘dating’ page where minors and adults could have communicated. Eventually due to mismanagement, there was no separation between the minors group and the adults group which means that minors could have been exposed to heavy adult conversations about politics, BDSM, gender medicine and stuff of a sexual nature. There have also been allegations made about other incidents of sexual impropriety such as one member of this group exposing their genitals to other members of the group and also allegations of financial mismanagement.

Trans Pride Portsmouth looks to me to be an utter mess. It’s a safeguarding mess, a fiscal mess and an organisational mess. I can’t see how any decent thinking person, even those who are sexual libertarians, would want to be involved with this entity. It is type of entity that could incur reputatonal damage to anyone who gets involved in it. It’s the sort of organisaiton that appears to be mentally ill deviants all the way down. When even trans identified men are looking at this organisation and saying that they don’t want to be involved in it then that should give some indication of how bad things are with TPP.
Following the Stephen Ireland case where the founder of the Surrey Pride organisation was gaoled for 24 years for abusing a 12 year old boy, there has been much more public attention paid to the goings on in various Pride groups. What people are finding out about what’s going on in various Pride groups is not making them happy. What is being discovered is that in a lot of Pride groups LGB people have been sidelined and the votaries of the gender cult are being promoted. This is not a good move either for LGB people or for society in general.
Now I need to point out that I’m not accusing anyone at TPP of being involved in any illegal sexual activity. However I must admit that the organisers of this group are, because of the inattention to issues pertaining to safeguarding, not making it difficult for predators to gain access to any vulnerable people, including minors who might be using TPP’s services whether online or offline.
TPP appears to be an organisation that has gone very bad indeed. If I was an organiser or someone in charge of Portsmouth Pride then I’d be thinking very very hard about having any association at all with TPP. In the circumstances I would advise Portsmouth Pride to have nothing at all to do with TPP because of the potential for severe reputational damage to Portsmouth Pride and in order to better serve the LGB people of Portsmouth and the wider population of the city of Portsmouth itself.
